Shards of Fate

Commentary Thread.

What had happened to those four heroes?

Where had the gone?
What had they done?

Why did they vanish?

Those were all questions that burned in my mind.
I had seen them the week before.
I didn't regard them as out of the ordinary.
They did something, those four.
What it was, nobody knew.
They had gotten wiped from the face of Lore, as it seems.

Did they have a fantastic adventure?
Did they destroy a monsterous evil that threatened the fate of man itself?
Did they turn on each other and obliterate theirselves?

I never knew them myself, but I had heard things about them.

There was The Paladin, so noble and tall.
His shining silver armor and hair graced the group.
He wielded a silver blade, enchanted with holy might endowed from a priest.
He was blessed with the powers to purge undead, and masterfully control light.
He was a prideful and courageous man, holy in mind and spirit.

There was The Ranger, so ravishing in all her feats.
She wore simple leather armor, and kept her chestnut hair in a ponytail at all times.
She beared a quiver of arrows and a magnificent oak bow.
She could snipe down hordes of beasts, if she wanted.
She was the silent type, but masterful in her actions.

There was The Enchantress, so beautiful and vain.
She beared a blue dress and ribbons, which she wore for dancing, and had her blonde hair down at all times.
She wielded nothing more than a sapphire wand that she would use for her spells.
She could enchant allies, and bewitch enemies with her beauty.
She was a vain and arrogant woman, but at the same time confident and courageous.

There was The Magician, so wise and mysterious.
He wore simply a royal blue robe, and a hood to hide his face.
He beared a crooked wooden staff, which was his vessel for magic.
He could cast powerful magic, and sway the tide of battle.
He was a silent and mysterious man, but he had a certain wise mystique to him.

What had happened? Nobody knows...until know.
This is the story of the four heroes who pursued the Shards of Fate.
