@ I Agree. It was Gamma, Day 1.
The launch of the gamma phase was quite epic at the time. Many of the games legends from founder/beta days were in their prime as were most of the all-time factions.
The gamma stage brought something that has mostly been lacking since... hope. The game was reaching it's peak and greatness was on the horizon. There was a buzz unlike any other that day. Everything was shiny and new. The release of Gamma also went hand in hand with the big independence day weapons release and soon after a revamp of the faction wars. It was without a doubt the biggest release of ED's history and a key turning point in the game itself.
Those who were around from the inception of this game, know how things have been since. Promises broken. Expectations unmet. Progress slow. Despite, some very good updates, such as this year's harvest festival, ED's "Glory" and golden days are clearly in it's past. But, I have to admit, this is a very cool update, one of the best of 2011, without a doubt. A job well done by the staff.
