Why does it cost more to change name than change class...
i'm sure it only costs $100 in some places to change a name in some places but it would cost a fortune to change from a black guy to a asian

because after u pick a new name and change. that name and the old one will forever only be accessible to u (if u change again)
the messed up part is u cant change back to the old name for free.
so its like saying "its urs, but u gotta pay me to use it"

Gold has the right idea:
A name change goes far beyond just your in-game class, it impacts every single potential player. It's much harder to change your IDENTITY than it is to change your class.
Also, changing from black to asian is a bad example... it's more like going christian to _____(insert religion here) It defines how you live, but not who you are.

They should deffiently remove the reserved name feature (i know of a few players that have 10 or more semi awesome names reserved) that they should lower the prices, much like they did with class change.
New name change cost: 650 varium OR 30,000 credits. (yes, i know this is technicaly a suggestion, but it is also relivant to the topic.)

bad idea.
these guys actually pay for their names but the newbies in alpha who never played again after their first day still keep their names?

if i have several names i should be able to access them all instantly without having to pay because i already paid for them before.

^ actualy, they deleted many accounts made in alpha, beta, and gamma that were only level 1.
