Every once and a while, I get the idea in my head that a weekend is going to be mine to conquer. This weekend is - hopefully - going to be one of those weekends. And I'm directly my productivity cannon at PonyVsPony.

I'm going to post a SPECULATIVE to do list and let's see what I can get done before Monday Morning rolls around.


  • New Battle Interface to show off the three pets system - Done!
  • Add Mouse Overs with explanations for EVERYTHING all over the game. Explain Sparkle Gem Battles, Cupcake Levels... Anything that comes to mind.
  • Bigger and better cut scenes for Adventure Mode.
  • Improve match making for Random Battles
  • Add the ability to have multiple ponies that you can level up, play, and customize.
  • Implement the Wild Orb - A orb that can be a part of any combo.
  • Add scoring system and stand alone, single player mode for points/time crunch. Add friend high score lists that reset daily, weekly, and monthly. Compete with friends!
  • More Spells! -- For future pets. :-)


Again, this is all speculative. There are no promises that any of these things are going to get done. I've been fighting a pretty rough flu all week, and tomorrow I might wake up totally out of it, but if all goes well, I'd like to see a goodly portion of that list done come the start of the week next week.

I wish I could conquer weekends. I'm 75% less productive during that time.

Love the idea of a friend high-score list. I bet I'd have much fun pwning competing with friends :3
Special orbs seem like a trés smart addition as well (and something I'd prolly like a lot). Good luck Rolith, may ze robot unicorns assist you in your work :D

These ideas all sound really brilliant! Do you think that you'd be able to fix the issue where eye design and colour are not displaying properly on your pony page if you purchase a new set of eyes, too? I hope that can be easily fixed. :)

Sounds like a fun weekend, couldja add to that list a re-tweek of the yellow-blue-red orbs where they were before a few days back? There are so many blue ones now that it takes <forever> to finish a game. [:@]

Love the switching pets but not in favor of all the blue orbs. Its Oped with a 100% attack pet and a confuse pet. They rotate to do damage and stall the opponent to the point you never get attacked.

As an aside, when will be be able to add our Pony ID to the forum profile so it shows under our names?

Sorry,the blue orb weight was for debugging, forgot to lower it's rate when it rolled live.

So, today? Today was a debugging day. Not for PVP, but for myself. Unwound a bit and relaxed and got some things done around the house. Tomorrow will be working!

LOL, Rolith we all need those days, just noting whats going on, FYI and nothing more. Get to it when you have a chance, either way its making winning a more simple thing when it was simple to begin with.

Weekend over, didn't get as much done as I'd have liked, but a lot of heavy lifting and engine changes made to make that list a lot more doable. I'll be working with the rest of the Pony team this week to start cleaning up bugs and taking care of some more of these features. We're also working on a refreshed Friends page that will let you manage your friends as well as fight them. This week should see a lot of additions to the engine!
