^I think you are a little misinformed there James Lu. You may still bump the thread providing that it has already passed 24 hours prior to its creation or if it has reached the 2nd page.

It generally depends on the forum and what your bump entails. Q&A forums may allow bumping if you haven't received an answer, but discussion forums generally will not accept a post which is simply "bump" and nothing else. When all else fails, ask yourself: Does this bump perform an important function?
