Digital X -> Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 13:10:00)

Now as we know, the current island we are on we have explored a vast majority of it. With the Minetower in the East, Biological Preserve in the South East, Overlord Facility in the South, West Naval Yard in the well.. West, Barrens Outpost in the North West and Central Station pretty much slap bang in the middle. Now we've all visited these places many times and now what the area around these are like and what to expect, but what about the unexplored regions that are not within our capable reach?

If we look at the South West you can see a rather grey, dry looking region that has a crater or what looks to be like a volcano surrounded by mountainous terrain. What do you think could possibly be living there, some unseen enemies that can bare the raging heat of the Volcano or perhaps ones that dwell on the mountain tops scouring the land for danger?

Now onto the far East and West regions, which looks like it could be a scorching desert or dusky, dry lifeless plains with only touches of wildlife and grassland at its edges, i don't think i lot would be surviving there given the suggested nature of the area just by seeing it.

Last but not least, the far North and South regions, which are covered with snow and ice as far as we can see. As with the deserts terrain, i doubt a lot would be surviving in the harsh conditions these regions could potentially offer to life at all, due to the freezing temperatures, only a handful of beings would be able to survive there unless provided man made or natural cover and protection from the elements.

What are your thoughts on this, and do you think it would be interesting to discover these areas, even knowing the possible potential dangers they may hold?

I think we will get to go north soon because having everything in these current maps will be rather sad.

Also i think as Epicduel gets larger we may have to be like AQ and be able to scroll the map to view different regions

As far as I can remember Yeti love the snow, so I also think North.

As for the desert areas - may be an oasis will be there? And you can get there by camel or sand bikes :)

Zoning ideas for artwork:

- Dry looking, cold tundras

- Deathly, cruel volcanic landscape

- Moving metropolis

- Wet, calling caverns

- Hot, merciless deserts

- Vile, dark and murderous tar fields

- Deep below the ocean

I definitely envision new areas being, as Green pointed out:
Mountainous, frozen regions.
Tundra.
Wastelands.
Tar fields (This one I'm sure of.)

I think we can also expect a densely populated city. I feel ED has been working towards that, I want to see how it will work out.

@Ur going to fail: I totally agree. I spend my Christmas in Uruguay or Brazil, depending on which relatives I visit first, and have never had a "white Christmas." The team does. Hence, their experiences, and the majority of the ED population have an impact on how it works. I do, however, live in Canada, so can relate to the snow and all that. Christmas is cold up here. ED is taking a global approach, though, so I hope to see improvements.

@ greenrain13

I Like The Idea Of An "Underwater" Area. Nice Coral Reef.

I Want Scuba Gear/Wetsuit And A Dolphin Zooka!

This Area Would Actually Be A Nice Expansion To The Naval Yard And TLAP (Talk Like A Pirate Seasonals).

~ Buffy

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 19:31:46)

@Buffy maybe we could try to catch some waves with BT and bail off into the ocean. You know just to give it a nice fun twist

Digital X -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 19:34:26)

@Buffy, reading that makes me want TLaPD to come back sooner. Hopefully in the near future we'll get to see more of the landscape, as it's actually shown on the map there's always the possibility of it being used for something, even if "decoration" like now.

Fay Beeee -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 19:57:14)

South West could be the volcano that you have to go down into then into a great cavern.

May be with stalactites and stalagmites.

ur going to fail -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 20:31:20)

Eh, I hate how winter themes and snow, etc. are always stereotyped with the north.. You know what I mean. rather have it go south.

Zean Zapple -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 20:59:18)

New areas would be good, considering the fact that the current locations are already cluttered with NPCs. Maybe spreading the NPCs out with more areas wouldn't be a bad thing.

AQWPlayer -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 21:06:57)

@OWA
It could be kinda like in Club Penguin (not advertising; my account has already been disabled for not playing for over 2 years lol) where you can surf and get a prize depending on your score :3
That would be one of the few things that actually require SKILL to obtain rewards, not just the buy-your-way-to-the-top style ED is adopting now.

DeathGuard -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 21:51:42)

@GreenRain: Nice there, also about the volcano area, what if when we enter the volcano, it is cold inside *I know it is not realistic but it would be kind of fun to alter the environment*
On topic: The idea of making extreme enviroments, would fit ED don't you think? Also, some npcs giving achievements for all lvls, lower lvls also should have the chance to win achievements[:)]

Stabilis -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 22:03:15)

This could sound corny but I'd love to fight in a field of flowers or a flower garden.

DeathGuard -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/16/2011 22:04:54)

Lol it does, but I do like that idea, fight in a garden of red/black roses would be awesome.

nico0las -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/17/2011 19:24:52)

I'd definitely fight in a field of roses.
Then win and set it on fire.

Stabilis -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/17/2011 19:34:22)

^ [:@][:@][:@]

AQWPlayer -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/17/2011 20:10:55)

^
But he lost :P

drinde -> RE: Epic Duel's map and regions. (11/18/2011 1:20:49)

Hmm. I like the idea of wandering a forest with random Ambush battles happening. :3

Also, how about actually letting us into the trains? Would make a fun place.
