Do what Remorse proposed:
An enhancement permits you to take one point of one stat and put it on another.
So, you could take Azrael's bane, which is 8 dex, 8 tech, 8 support, and put 10 str, 8 dex, 6 tech, and 0 support.
Hence, we learn to appreciate our stat points.

rej -> RE: Enhancements. (12/7/2011 17:40:48)

1) How heavily do you rely on enhancements? Very much so. I cannot easily compete without them.
2) What would be a fair price of enhancements be? 50 var/5,000 credits per enhancement
3) Do you ever thing pre-paid enhancements will come to EpicDuel? yes, but the first few sets of them will be insanely overpriced promo items.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Enhancements. (12/7/2011 18:52:24)

Rej the first two enhancements are 3K credits i think that would be just if we had to pay 3K for all of ours and you had to pay 50 for yours

rej -> RE: Enhancements. (12/7/2011 19:59:12)

^yes, but the average price for a non var enhancement is 180,000/10 or 18,000. lowering that by 13,000 would be more than reasonable.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Enhancements. (12/7/2011 21:55:14)

I believe that the enhancement prices should not increase for a higher amount of enhancements. It should be 50 Varium per enhancement and 2,500 Credits per enhancement that seems fair. As in order to fully enhance a weapon with varuim would cost 500 Varuim and to do so with credits would cost 25,000. And that is a quite a lot of money for average players. But non-varuim weapons never seem to have 10 enhancement slots the highest amount is usually 6 or 5. So for a non-varuim to fully enhance all 4 of their items and each one would have 5 or 6 enhancements the price would be 50,000-60,000 in total and even that is a high price. But this price seems reasonable. And for varium weapons which usually have 10 slots (If their the rares or promos), Its price would be 2,000 in total for fully enhancing 4 weapons that have 10 slots for enhancements each. So I think this looks good.

Gabriel Dude -> RE: Enhancements. (12/7/2011 23:35:23)

Lol they will never get out the enchancements... more enchancements equals more money they cant give the money back from all enchances i just say make the enchancements less expensive for both credits and varium [:)]

edwardvulture -> RE: Enhancements. (12/7/2011 23:55:40)

enhancements wreck the game and has became a requirement to win. I say keep the price the same but lower it to 4 maximum for every weapon

Lord Nub -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 0:01:17)

I think it's fine the way it is. A few enhancements are not a must and can even be bought without varium meaning free for all if one should put the time into it.

The game exists thanks to our support and tbh without enhancements how else are they going to make the money to keep bringing us updates?

The "block" idea is great but then they would have to increase the cost of the items to make up for the loss of revenue.

Without enhancements I don't see them being able to maintain the game as there would be nothing to spend varium on. Very few spend anything on War Kills for good reason and not many collect things because they are useless within a month so there's no point in purchasing something you won't use right at that moment.

They would have to make the weapon releases more desirable with every update to force players into purchasing the newer weapons making it extremely difficult to maintain balance.

Hopefully they will find more forms of revenue soon but until then enhancements aren't going to change.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 10:36:52)

Saying that the devs will lower enhancement slots or get rid of enhancements is crazy. Besides if they did that they would have to refund all those people and all that money, and they would also lose tons of money. And of course they would never do that. Its not gonna happen. The best chance we have is for them to lower the price for credits and varium to enhance the items.

Remorse -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 11:02:47)

@ nicolas

Thanks for supporting my idea :)

sotsemod -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 11:18:33)

of course the worst thing about enhancements is that you spend money on them and then a new weapon appears that is much better than yours and has more slots and then all your enhancements are wasted. what is really necessary is that we should be able to remove them from one weapon and apply them to another. otherwise it is all just a big waste of money.

Remorse -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 11:20:24)

^Yup like I sugested before,

Or many similar alternatives such as an enahcment sell back of 100% or maybe 90%

BlueKatz -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 11:26:44)

Well, take a look at my situation. If I fully enhance my items and maybe plus some stats when reach lv 34 or buying better items and change some unused stat. My damage from STR will change from max 20 to max 26. Mean 6 damage higher. Now since I use STR Mage, I normally hit at least 4 hits in battle (I actually hit A LOT more like 5 or 6 including using my Gun or Bludgeon) and 4*6=24 roundly 1/5 of common HP out there - and I even enhanced half of possible Enh.
1/5... you know how big it is... right? And that's how great Enh play in this game. And tell me again, how is enhancement "is not a must"?

edwardvulture -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 16:51:40)

There wouldn't be refunds if every weapon after testing stage had an average of 3 slots and special weapons have 4.

VornWrath -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 23:39:41)

How about cheaper enhancements for non variums? Have you varium players ever thought of that? I mean, seriously, the credit price is WAY too expensive for even a single enhancement. Stat inflation is the major problem of this game, and enhances make it even worse. It is impossible to be able to have a chance against a high level varium player with around 100+ stats.

AllenLingChen -> RE: Enhancements. (12/8/2011 23:43:20)

Technically speaking, if enhances were only sold from creds, then we cant say that its OP, since each enhance is hard earned. What unbalances it is the varium option, which allows high enhances for those willing to pay.

If i would say, i would like enhances to be credit only, but varium can get you additional enhance slots, max of 10.

drinde -> RE: Enhancements. (12/9/2011 0:05:18)

^
Not a bad idea at all.

They could do it on all weapons afterward, and Varium Users can't complain, since their enhance,ments still remain, they just have to work for future ones. The question is, would they do it, because they'd lose revenue?

Zeoth -> RE: Enhancements. (12/9/2011 0:10:47)

Probably not. It seems to me its revenue first, balance and everything in game second
