Remorse -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/12/2011 12:34:30)

AT least new oped builds can be countered,

TLMS can not be so easily....

They have pretty much all you need to stop being countered with anything,
Reroute for energy drians, atom for power builds, toxic for tanks, smoke for quick kills, frenzy for extra life, hyrbid for consant taking...

If a new OP class Comes out I will be head over heals with joy because at least this game ruining class will be finally out of the way and out of the battles everytime you click the button.

i like how u said "drains" as if u ever actually bothered to use an energy drain attack twice.
use EMP, or atom on them twice and they are severely screwed.

atom can be blocked. and with a messed up RNG i wouldn't be surprised if it did.

toxic requires alot of skill points and energy and in most cases can only be used once, just simply out live it.

smoke requires support now. and is increase with tech. another skill which if it is at high lvl will also most likely be used twice.
i also like how u say its for quick kills but most str tlms average 35-40 an hour.

frenzy requires a maul, (while static can be used with sword) and is blockable. the effect on it has also been nerfed several times.
and since maxing it out like static, is a waste of skill points simply by the fact that its based on the damage u deal unlike static where it ignores defense it, it isn't good to increase it past lvl 4 in most cases. ( i use lvl 2 and barely manage to get 8 hp now., while str BH gets 8 hp per turn) plus it has a cooldown of 3.

hybrid isn't a big deal like people make it out to be.
it requires heavy base dex, and skill points. and can also be counted by a malf because hybrid start with physical and it isn't smart to waste a turn switching to energy when u can attack ur enemy.

^ I actuly have tried energy drains twice,

I have done it alot especialy before the field medic nerf agiansy heal looping TLMs.

BUt every time I waste a turn draining energy it is a turn I could of used trying to out damage them which is near imposiable with their tank defences.

pulling off one energy drain is hard enough to pull off to requires majot luck through blocks before hand so that you opponent doesnt kill you before you even get a chance to attack :/

goldslayer1 -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/12/2011 13:54:38)

@remorse
uhuh
i seen people do 2 energy drains on me of 40 energy each time.
turns out he won the match.
strategy is simple, EMP tlm bring their energy down to 3.
when they get to about 30-40 again, EMP again.

and since blocks will happen so many times randomly just use a high dex and block them.
after all they are str builds, so u should have no problem blocking.

Quit talking about that in this thread, use the Balance threads or PMs.
You'll get this thread closed.

@aguliz: i would suggest adding a "no trolling/flaming" rule note to your origanal post. Quite a few people are taking this topic as an excuse to complain about balance.

Agiluz -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/12/2011 18:00:48)

@ rej
My bad my bad.. I added it for ya.

Gabriel Dude -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/12/2011 18:11:09)

dude static doesnt get tht low mp every round it depends on the level and the amount of damage you do you just cant say static gives 20 mp per 3 rounds if u dont know the damage u would do [;)]

Gabriel Dude -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/12/2011 18:16:15)

i see another problem lol frenzy depends on your str if u compare one str bh strike and one merc frenzy with same damage u would see tlm get more hp because of the % of damage it gives to hp

1: BH: My signature class. It's the ultimate class.

2: TM: I like the type of mages we have in ED, those
savage, heavily armed titans who annihilate everything.

3: CH: I played as CH for a long time. It's fun, but tough.
Great nonetheless.

4: BM: Very good, however I feel it needs to be more versatile.

5: TlM: I don't hate it because it's OP. I love the class. It's just so BORING to use.

6: M: Never had any luck with this class. It used to be good, but those times are long gone.
However, I think Gold became a Merc. I want to know how that's going.

1999Rex -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/12/2011 20:00:04)

TLM > M > BH > TM > BM > CH.

Reason?

OPness.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/13/2011 21:48:57)

@rex
how is merc second?

Goony -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/14/2011 2:44:13)

This is how I see the classes at the moment from an enjoyment perspective

BM - Good class, with decent firepower, bloodlust, reflex and technician it's pretty flexible. 4-5 focus and can match it with any class...

CH - Geat fun with decent dexterity, malfunction, focus, static charge, shadow arts and massacre. Depends on who goes 1st at times, but good all round fighter!

TLM - Over powered vs the old classes, can be torn apart by some BH, CH and Mage builds, but overall due to the fact I play 5 focus tank I am mostly suceptable to strength builds. The losses are mostly goverened by how many risks you take and too an extent luck.

TM - BH - Tied, haven't played either for a while now and not in Delta. From what I have seen the Tech Mages who use a lot of energy and have a good super charge are doing ok. Reminds me of Ramirovs old builds :p The BH builds with good Str and massacre are popular, can do massive damage but are suceptible to energy drain. Still a fast killer in the right hands...

Mer - What can I say, I have played this class the most since Delta and have really struggled. Tried a lot of builds and it mostly still matches up well with BH, BM and TM. The CH and TLM classes tear it too pieces and combined with the large number of TLM can be very frustrating to play at the moment. CH with malf and damage output are always hard to match up against and using bloodshield or switching hybrid is just rubbish. May as well just say "rage me to death" It's the energy drain that hurts thou and it is hard to beat most opposition to rage. Seems like the nerfs to str skills, the stat progression, nerf of heal, stat requirements and the new classes have finally tamed this class alittle too much :(

Prakash 007 -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/14/2011 7:15:27)

^ the merc's bloodsheild is definitely one of the best moves in the game if used properly, look at my jugger build [:D]

EDIT: however i do agree that mercs need a super-massive buff

Zean Zapple -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/14/2011 20:40:50)

TM,BH,M,BM,TLM,CH

Note I am not a Tech Mage. But they are my favorite class :)

od -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/14/2011 21:29:38)

I've only played 4 classes, but what i think in funness
Merc>BM>BH>TM. I just don't like playing as a Tec Mage, mainly because it cannot be used as aggressively
& you don't have a definite amount of energy to play with

Remorse -> RE: Favorite classes from Greatest to Least and reasons why? (12/14/2011 23:14:34)

Mercs dont need a buff at all, it is still a great class.

If mercs and TLMs are made more diffrent like all the other evolutions it will seperate them from the orignal class . the problem with mercs is they are too similar to TLMs BUT TLMs have the upper hand, if TLMs didnt have Hybrid like they shouldnt the merc class would be revived without even touching them simply because they are more diffrent and because alot of people like hybrids help but with reroute... we all should be able to admit what would you rather better hybrid by itself or with reroute, its a no brainer that is why you dont see many mercs not because it is a bad class at all.

On topic My class order for most enjoyment goes.

BM-CH-BH-TM-M-TLM
