How do I post tags without them taking effect, so people can see the tags themselves (e.g an image tag, or a bold tag)

Use code tags:

[code][/code]

For example, if you were to show someone how to make the image in your signature, you would use the code

[code][image]http://s797.photobucket.com/albums/yy251/SneakyVirus/turtle2jpg.jpg[/image][/code]

Which would look like: 

[image]http://s797.photobucket.com/albums/yy251/SneakyVirus/turtle2jpg.jpg[/image]


But you can't put code tags in code tags.

See the code button at the top of your screen next to image? Use that button.

For example.... 

[link=http://google.com]http://google.com[/link]
