King FrostLich -> A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 5:24:24)

I am greatly disappointed when I heard the arcade was removed even though the prizes were moved to random 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Many players have spent tokens in the arcade just to get the 10k credits, a house and the assault bot and after hearing about this, I felt that my 1k tokens were wasted. Some people were lucky to get the prizes but the majority just got a few credits and some random stuff which wasn't even enough. Please Titan, Nightwraith, Charfade, RabbleFroth and Cinderella, think about the players who wasted tokens and didn't get any prizes at all. Those tokens were hard to get and giving at least a refund should suffice the need of everyone.

Arcanis -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 5:53:58)

I am truly sorry if this will sound harsh,but please get real. It took them 2 years to implement varium sellback. At 15 %.
Whoever decided to play arcade made his own choice and wasted only "time currency". Do you really expect them to return arcade on grounds of:
"Some people won prize,I didn't. You can't remove it untill I win something too." Or refund tokens? Please,go buy lottery ticket,don't win anything then request refund and see how it goes.
Really,nothing personal,Frost,but come on man,you really can't be serious with this one.

Laceration General -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 5:57:04)

After that, I got to give this one to Arcanis.

King FrostLich -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 5:58:28)

Tokens are hard to get and I understand your so called "time currency" within the game. The problem is not only about me but to other people as well. If they managed to give 1k varium to founders, why can't they give a certain amount of tokens to everyone?

Ranloth -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 6:03:45)

And those who used Token Boost to get more Tokens in an hour? How will that be done? They'd have to dig up past months to see what char had bought Token Boost during that hour, check next hour, etc so they get right amount of it back. And if someone won a jackpot, bike, etc? Will they get less Tokens?

My main and 3rd spent about 1K and 500 Tokens respectively on Arcade and highest I won was 500 Credits few times. Is it fair? No. Arcade is a game of luck, and I mean it literally as probability is involved in it quite a lot.

drinde -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 6:07:54)

Actually, I don't think there should be a refund, since the Arcade is/was a gamble.

If you had gotten a prize, you got it some time earlier than the PvP drop prize, if you hadn't, you lost the gamble.

Oba -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 6:09:36)

I want many things back from the devs. But this is not one of those. Those tokens are used, and should stay that way. I have used alot of tokens in Arcade, yet I dont find it as "unfair" in any way when they will be dropped in normal battles.

I cant find any english words for why I dont want it, I just dont. A game is a game.

Laceration General -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 6:57:41)

Well said, is it just me or are the forums dead atm?

Fay Beeee -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 7:19:06)

Forums are not dead. :) But you have to be careful what you post. So answers take more time to formulate.
Also I expect that players are still doing missions etc.

Back to original discussions.
The Arcade was always a place to gamble (as in a real Arcade) Put your money in, take your chances.
Some win, lots loose. This is also the case here. It was, and always will be a HUGE gamble (like wishing for something)
So, sorry, but no. I do not think they should be refunded.

No offence to anyone.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 11:06:46)

No. I don't mean to sound harsh but its your fault and only your own fault for wasting so much tokens on something that is basically a token scam. All the chances in arcade where below 26% to win anything and yet you spent hundreds/thousands of tokens. What did you expect?

Remorse -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 11:14:34)

Considering doing arcade is not a vital part of the game nor was it needed to be sucseful, I dont think there should be a refund.

On the other hand enahcments are almsot a robbery, To compete effectively in this game YOU need them or at least some of them, why should we constantly have to pay so much for enahcments if wepons are contatnly deprecitaing in power.

If anything deserves a refund its enahcments.

nico0las -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 11:27:19)

For me, who's spent over 1000 tokens on those machines, I definitely support this.
I'm still mad that I never got the assault bot. >_<

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 11:42:45)

One should look beyond personal interests and evaluate the feasibility and inherent validity of the proposition. Firstly, it may not be feasible to note who spent tokens in the arcade, and who did not, let alone who spent what amount of tokens. Secondly, even if this were possible, or if the proposition was altered for all players to receive tokens, those who entered the arcade knew that they would be taking a gamble. You invested tokens in something that never promised to be a reliable source of rewards and thus any loss is a consequence of your decision.

Perhaps one may argue that it is unfair for those who had invested tokens into the arcade that arcade prizes can be won without the token price from the next update onwards. As aforementioned, it is your decision to make such an investment, and bear the consequences of it. It is similarly illogical for a person who had bought a television to demand a refund when it was discounted a few days later. Evidently, then, this proposition should not be accepted, due to both practical and principle concerns.

ND Mallet -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 11:51:47)

There is no logical way to refund tokens because I highly doubt they track token spending aside from faction flags. Also, aside from the drop, an arcade battle was the exact same thing as a 1vs1 battle. I don't think there is a way to know if a battle was an arcade battle or just 1vs1 one if they can't track tokens. That leaves taking the word of people and do you want the factions with big winners(like Comicalbiker or others on the leaderboards) possibly having those members claim to have spent 10k tokens on Arcade so they can use that refund to hold a flag? It's either it can't be done period, or it can be done but will eat at development time, just like every other "refund" thread ever made.

8x -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 11:55:05)

I don't think they can refund our tokens, but I think prizes like hoverbike, assault bot and house should be 3 times harder to get as a drop.

Joe10112 -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 13:32:40)

1000 tokens? TRY 2000 TOKENS FOR ME! (Assault Bot + 5,000 credits were my prizes)

Refund would be VERY NICE, but I doubt it.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 14:31:32)

How on earth would the devs know how much you spent on arcade?

If this happened, i would have around 3000 more tokens TROLOLOLOL.

Joe10112 -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 15:09:06)

@^: Add 1v1 wins + 2 * 2v2 wins + token quests completed - token cheevos - donated tokens - current amount of tokens in your possession = # of tokens spent on arcade.

For me, it would be: 2290 + 2*158 + ~800 tokens at least from quests - 0 - 0 - 1450 = ~2000 tokens I've spent on the Arcade.

Basicball -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 15:12:39)

^what about juggernaut? also, when tokens first came out, the fights you had already done didn't get tokens, so it would be incorrect

TurkishIncubus -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 15:12:43)

Ridiculous, you spent tokens to get items it was a chance nobody forced you to use it. And just because they made it free doesnt mean they will refund the tokens you spent, you used your chance!!! Lots of non variums have assault bot and house, they used their chance and win then used its advantage.

Not supported

True. I forgot about jugg, just count jugg as a 2v2. And before Tokens...well...that's true. That's the caveat. I guess the Devs could be nice and "replace" the battles that didn't give tokens and give us tokens for those battles...

BlueKatz -> RE: A Token Refund before next week's update? (2/11/2012 15:28:49)

Since there is no tracking system, idk how is this even possible
