BAYUM, new thread.

I would like to discuss robots here, anything about robots. Just remember what a general discussion means though.

First off, I would like to say that I currently have broken away from focus builds and because of this my only reliable robot is the assault bot. What do you think about robot abilities? Should they be exclusive to focus users, or generalized like the assault bot, which anyone can use? The gamma bot is all-out attacks, so I can't use that right now. Its unfortunate because although it opens a window of opportunity as another member of my arsenal, the fact that gamma's special is dedicated to focus level damage turns it away. Then we have bots like the yeti and the borg. IMO, the yeti is weak still, even given the current build types which players often use. STR over SUP, will mean that eating ranged weapons is unlikely to harm many players (also blockable). The azrael borg, on the flip-side, is dangerous to defence players. I'm not sure I agree with that because offence players are then more able to stay offence by covering their weakness (which is acting defensively LoL). Blockable as well, but the special is very strange to me.

Other than that, I really appreciate robots as an ally because of their handiness in numerous situations. There is a lot of potential in these weapons, although exclusive fully to maximum focus players.

i agree, the only bot so far that i think is worth the varium paid for it is the assault bot. The azrael borg comes close though.

when I used to have the Gamma bot back in Gamma it was really useful. I like it the most still, but with my current build Azrael's borg would also be more useful than the assault bot.

@Above: Gamma>Assault.

NUFF SAID.

Tank>Abuse.

well you can still be relatively creative even with just 4 focus. I personally think all the bots are great in the right situation.

Gamma bot allows you to have a big attack that can hit either physical or energy damage, plus it has the highest damage overall.
Yeti had its damage increased and the ability has come in handy on many occasions, it can restrict the damage types of your enemy.
Azrael's Borg is incredible, the unblockable buff destroyer is great at its worst, and completely OP at its best.
Assault bot is almost essential for any class that cannot buff their def/res after the enemy debuffs them [or beforehand].

I'm all about tech abuse, so I prefer the Gamma bot, which offers more damage than any other bot AND two equally powerful energy and physical attacks (useful when "the newbs start cracking shields and boosts")

Pranz -> RE: Roobboottss (2/16/2012 19:51:45)

I like the gamma bot better. Why you ask? Because its the only robot I have. And assault bot annoys me with its debuff xD.

Colarndo -> RE: Roobboottss (2/17/2012 0:14:12)

The best bots are from MechQuest but sadly the game has been retired like WarpForce.
In terms of looks Yeti bot is the best. Gamma bots for practical reasons. Azarel for NPCs who like to out up energy shields. Assault bot for 2v2.

nico0las -> RE: Roobboottss (2/18/2012 10:22:32)

The bots we have are all equally useful. Unfortunately, not all of them are useful all the time.

Assault bot: Universally useful, provided your enemy has a debuff.
Gamma bot: Universally useful for 5 focus.
Yeti: Not that useful. If you're facing a TM it's good, but if not it's not worth the price.
Azrael Borg: Built to destroy TMs. It's basically an assault bot on steroids. Sadly, it's not really that useful.
Rusted assault bot: NON VARIUM assault bot. Definitely the best bot so far.
