Well a lot of the newest forums, HS, Oversoul, and AQ3D, have had areas where you have to suggest a thread be made instead of directly making it.

Is the forum staff considering this to change a lot of the other forum areas?

It's the procedure in most new games. AQW started off like that, WF started off like that, HS is STILL like that.

To explain, it helps us focus discussion when there isn't always a whole lot of flexibility in what can be discussed. This is especially true in regards to games that have yet to be released - the threads in the AQ3D forum are pretty much the only things about the game that can be discussed at this point. :P

Oh, I see.

I was beginning to think they would implement something like this in the AQW forums...or any of the forums with people who tend to make really bad threads

No plans to, and I highly doubt we'd ever go back to a system like that in an established forum.
