Hey guys! Here is some help for people :) There has been a lot of people who don't understand how Static Charge works for the cyber hunter. :) Some believe that it is given by taking a % of your damage and adding it to your reserve. This, however, is not true. Here is how it works! :) Static Charge works by taking 80% of your combined base damage from strength and primary weapon damage. That will be the number that is considered for the energy restore. Here is an example. Let's say your primary attack is 14-17 + 34 Ok, now take either the low end (14) or high end (17) of your damage (whichever hits, it may even be 15 or 16, but I hope you understand so far) Take whichever number you hit, say 14, and add 34 to it since static charge does 80% of damage. The number you now have is 48. Since 80% of damage is influence, times 48 by .80 (or 80%) to total 38.4, which is rounded to 38. Now here is where the skill level comes in. Say you have max Static Charge, which is 44% since the nerf on it. (used to be 55%) Use 38 (the number we received up there) and times it by .44 (or 44%). The number you know have is 16.72, which is rounded to 17. 17 is the energy you receive from Static Charge depending on your strength and which end of damage you hit at (14,15,16 or 17). Static Charge is NOT effected by the hit you do on an enemy. For instance, you could still do only 3 damage but gain 20 energy from it. i think u got the calculation wrong. when i use 16-20 primary +34 i get back 23 energy. theres no way 2 less damage has a 6 energy difference.
