Ok i have been geting mad with blocks and other luck factorse so aybe we could add a new battle mode that is all skill no luck

You do know that Luck will ALWAYS be a part of a game... it's something you can't remove

Agreed. This is madness. I can't win anymore and I don't wanna NPC. Theirs nothing we can do now they killed us STR TLMs. We need to buffed up not to the point we where before but we need to buffed.

The winner would always be either the guy with super str or the super tank build luck is the one factor that stops these builds from always winning

It is pretty obvious that the stat known as Strength gives too much output per stat point.

i always wanted a skill only battle mode. but now isn't the time for something like this. classes would need to be completly balanced before anything like this woud happen. maybe something like this will come but u need to give it time.

Gonna be awhile before there is balance. The developers have a different opinion on the definition of the term "Balance" than the community does.

Their definition is,

Balance - The thing we developers enjoy avoiding the most while distracting the community with weapon releases, missions, and class-changing nerfs so players change classes and purchase more weapons. Instead of making luck factors player controllable, we shall continue allowing the poor poor very sad players to win matches with insane minimum percentages on the luck factors so they will continue playing our lovely "Strategy" based PvP game because without them, those lil guys wouldn't stand a chance against the more strategic players who know how to go about stat placement.

Oh and P.S.,

Ally link team battle would be the shiznit but not everyone would enjoy it. Non-Variums wouldn't stand a chance in it with variums linking up but one thing people seem to forget is that the other modes would get a little less congested from all the varium players allowing the nons to see some other nons.

Obviously team battle would be an awesome mode to implement but first things first guys!!!! Gotta get those weapon releases and useless missions that take 30 seconds to complete except for those oh so enjoyable challenge missions !!!! Yeah baby more missions and weapons instead of features and balance pweeezzzz :D

Wouldn't a battle mode like this (assuming that "luck free" means "no blocks, crits, or deflections") be determined by who goes first? A "luck" factor?

The PvP drops are excellent.

It is literally getting free weapons for victory. But they are broken/rusted. But that's fine, so much for recycling lol.

So far I use my Mercenary to beat players. For Varium players there is a 5050 chance if they are not too overpowered. I can beat Variums who are level 25 - 30. Level 31 and above, well forget about it.

My Mercenary build is Support build. I have moderate defenses (Resistance 21-26), (Defense 20-24), 101 HP and Maxed Hybrid Armor. It is good to choose your equipment wisely and always aim for those weapons with HIGH stat bonuses. My support is 17-21. So I will often hit 30s with Bazookas on people with moderate - high defenses. So yeah, being a support build is nice but I am going to try other things soon. But support build really fits me at the moment.

What pi$$e$ me off is that I get teamed up either with an AFK or a lower - leveled partner in a Juggernaut Battle. The Juggernaut is really OP so my partner can only dish out very low damages same as me. Well that doesn't make up entirely all of his defenses but the Juggernaut battles always seem to be some sort of a distress. It is good to see Non-Variums taking part in Juggernaut battles too, as you see your own kin vs your own kin xD.

Well I don't really play Epicduel much but I check back once in a while for new releases and to battle during my free time. During my other times, I will hang out in Yulgar in AQW.

True Cinderella, yet I do not believe that we can avoid the first turn in a turn oriented game. We can simply say that whoever has the most Support is GUARANTEED to play first.

Unfortuantely the way balance is with power builds.

Luck is the only thing that stops complete balance failure ....


I find it funny how Some STR/ Power build users actuly think they are perosnaly soooo good its only luck that takes them down.... (when actul fact balance so messed up that anyone using a related build is given the amasing and cheap abialty)
Then they have to complain about luck...


Luck can be pretty bad I admit but thats only beacuse the diffrene between a block in beta and a block in the Phase of enhament enforced power builds is around 30 constant turn after turn damage...
Damage which does not allow players to use a turn to do soemthing other then attack so it obviolsy woudlnt be very leniant to those wiht bad luck.

I dont understand how what has become of balance is builds that focus almost 100% into being a Tank have now become the average defecnes to have if your not a powerbuild....


I would definately NOT support this battle mode because it supports everything Im agaisnt and trying to change to actuly make this game enjoyable and that is Powerbuilds.


Also another thing why do STR builds insist what they do is called straetgy.... its not startegy its effortless one turn deceided attack spamming.
The worse thing is it stops all posiable actul startegy to work agaisnt it with nothing you can do about it....


It would be great if the devs actuly fixed them game by fixing this problem but I think Ive waited so long where if something like this occurs I would slap myself so hard then probberly have a heart attack due to shock.

^ Who may you be referring to? No one is designated as a "Str power build" since we can all change our builds. I've used every build there is and constantly change classes and builds to keep the game interesting.

While using a support build my opponent with his 18 support str build should have his chance to crit reduced to 0% not 1% or 6% with some Azrael crap and my chance to crit should be complemented as such. If the base chance to crit is 4% and adjusts +- according to 7 points of support then if I have 63 more points of support than my str opponent with an Azrael weapon his chance to crit should be 0%.

Goes for every other stats advantages. Players who don't invest in the stat and spam the others should not have that buffer of the minimum percentages.

People seem to believe that this would promote stat spamming particularly dexterity if 0%s were implemented. It would not in the least unless they don't understand the difference between minimum and maximum which most aren't. Also, those spammer builds will have large holes in their strategy considering they will no longer have that "luck" buffer to rely on.

@Cinderella,

Your writing is great but your missions have much need for improvement. We are rather limited as to what we may do in this game obviously so why not try focusing on that and make it so were not so "limited." Perhaps use some of that time to persuade the "coders" to implement some features rather than just throwing the artists (Charfade and Nightwraith) work into the game and your missions?

We don't need weapons and we don't need missions. We need features and to make this game what it is advertised as being, a strategy turn based mmo. Some new modes would be nice, a 5th tier on our skill trees would be amazing, and many of the menu options the community has been providing would be great as well. I just don't understand why every release must center upon weapons and missions....
