Omega325 -> Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 15:44:02)

I noticed the game is trying to make all class eaqual but wouldn t it be logic for all evolved class to be strong than all bass class

desscus

Prime Assassin -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 15:45:59)

it would be logic yes. but this is the type of game u need everything to balance or it just won't work.

I didn't think that would come as a surprise. It's not the first time I've said that evolved classes are not meant to overpower the original classes. They were added for more variety in combat and to break the rock-paper-scissors balance triangle that had formed between Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters and Tech Mages.

They still are a bit too similar to their original classes in some respects, but making new skills is a time consuming process. Ideally, they would be sharing fewer of the original class' skills.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 15:47:36)

Yes logically it should. But the devs claim they are only added for more variety and strategy. Therefore class changing to a evovled class is a waste of time.

Omega325 -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 15:56:47)

@The ND Mallet Guy

What doze that have to do with this thread

Ranloth -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 15:58:15)

That evolved classes are not supposed to be stronger than basic classes. There's nothing more to discuss, they are just different classes with more variety.

Yes, logically should a evolved class be stronger. But remember that this is a PvP game and it cant get that unfair. They need to keep the classes at a balanced level.

Omega325 -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 16:03:00)

You need to pay a lot to change class 900 var or 50000 cred

If they make them all equale nobdy would ever change

Ranloth -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 16:05:09)

Tough. Surprisingly, people still changed due to OP'ness before so they can stay and be unique.
And they aren't here so people change, they are here to add variety. If you don't want to change, cool. Not everyone is the same and would like to have a change for a while.

Omega325 -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 16:07:46)

Well at least lower the change price to lets sa 10000credits and 100 var

Ranloth -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 16:11:45)

What for? If you picked Mage and want to go Merc or BH, then surely there should be price for it? In DF I have to pay DCs to turn my character to Warrior, Rogue or Mage so if that happens here, I want my DCs back in DF as "I was scammed".

@below
I didn't change, but I just gave example. It doesn't matter what class you are as it's all variety, so that's why you change or stay whatever you want. Didn't mean it literally but prices in DF and here make sense.

fightR -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 17:21:08)

OFF TOPIC: Trans, Just curious why would you waste your DCs on class change? i mean there are better armors in game that are better than the base classes that you could just save with the Orb of Saving

Ashari -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 17:23:19)

The problem with creating a tier system among the classes is that it limits player choice. Players wanting to play as a Tech Mage, Bounty Hunter or Mercenary would be punished by a system with stronger evolved classes. That would leave 3 classes a undesirable, and they'd only serve as a stepping stone until you had enough credits or Varium to switch to an evolved class.

There's no difference in class change cost whether you are changing to another original class, or an evolved one. The cost is there because you are in essence remaking your character (same with name change) without having to level up again.

JohnMenzies -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 17:34:10)

@Ashari

Don't you think the credits cost for a class change should be changed a little? Maybe lower it to around 45k (45,000) credits instead of the current 50k (50,000).

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 17:44:01)

@Ashari If Evovled Classes are meant to be equal to the current ones. Then why do they cost so much? Make Evovled classes become starter classes that you can start of with at the beginning of the game. And leave the class change option the same it is now but lower the credit price it's to high 50,000 is not realistic for a non-var. The only reason people changed to these new classes was because they where OP. TLM is no longer OP so everyone is leaving that class. CH is still OP so everyone is going to that class. TMs and BMs have these new OP tech spam builds. And TM has the return of their old SC build that is now OP due to the TLMs no longer standing in their way. So now everyone is either CH,BM, or TM. BH as of right now are the only balanced ones. And normal Merc is UP as I beat them everytime and so does almost any other class. And always lose if I have a Merc on my team vs TMs,BMs, or CHs.

I would glady start at level 1 again though (but keeping everything else like wins, cheevos and items), playing at level 34 is getting really, REALLY boring [:)]

Omega325 -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 19:26:49)

@IsaiahtheMage

Nice Idea mate i would be fun to start out the game witht the new class

btw im still sticking to TLM even though i get blocked all the time

nico0las -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/4/2012 21:45:16)

Well, of the old classes, the best ATM is TM, no contest.
The two best new classes are BM and CH.
However I still think TM is the best class in-game ^^

XxKirachanXx -> RE: Evolved Class vs Bass class (3/5/2012 10:46:22)

How are mercs that weak? I know they lack any form of regen, so energy management is important. Granted at times I'm left with a choice between a max multi and a lv 5 heal and a maul/double strike or so.
Yet still, I usually win jug battles if my teammate can take a few hits, although I noticed a considerable rise in the difficulty from level 29, I still compete and have a few hundred more wins than losses at lv 30. I would play solo more often, as I would normally be able to defeat a player up to a level higher than me. But due to how it's rare that I have a fair fight, I'm kinda pushed into 2v2.

Granted the fact that they lack regen puts them at a disadvantage, with a little bit of strategy, you can outlast anyone near your level, with the possible exception of someone tankier than you. Also, I'm mostly nonvarium, aside from lv 25 varium armor ;3
