Gear. Gear and gear again . . .

Who doesn't like weapons ? But I think there is quite enough weapons as it is. I would rather have them work on features and revamping some of the backgrounds/areas and old npcs. I understand that new gear = more money but I don't think I am getting my money's worth.
Just take a look at Mirv, some of the battle backgrounds etc.. Let's add more missions, work on factions, minigames, map art, improving 2vs2........ there is so much to be done !

What do you guys think about that ?

I agree that there's enough gear for the high levels, i'd love to see some for lower levels though.

there's also no need to revamp backgrounds/npcs, that's just wasting art and time in my oppinion.

factions ... YES how long i've plead for this ...

Steps for a successful EpicDuel

i) Raise the level cap only every 6 months or annually

ii) After about 36 items have been produced for level cap players, begin the task of Balance and Feature implementation

The thing is, this is all down to opinion, I've just deleted a topic with a lot of people asking for more gear, because technically those topics aren't useful, since we tend to mix things up as it is. We've just released some gear, we've recently revamped art, and released a new zone, and we've also introduced new features and NPC's. We don't concentrate on any one area overall, if you look back through the releases, you'll find, yes at each one time, we'll concentrate on one area of art, but we'll shift that concentration from each area rather equally, and as we, and you guys see fit. Though you may not all believe this, but we watch the Update topics a lot, because they do tells us what is wanted and what isn't, we also act on that, as is possible.
Now I'm going to leave this topic open, but I'd like you all to make sure that you do not post 'Yes, we don't need more weapons', because that's a matter of opinion, and one that I don't feel is useful, since there are also a lot of people asking for weapons/items. What I think would be useful, is for people to post what they feel is the most important thing we should focus on art wise right now, such as some of the suggestions above, nicely listed by MrBones. This I feel will be very useful for us, and for you!

as to what art we need: well, *new* art, like i said before, things like npc revamps, location revamps ect. arn't needed, they are (in my oppinion) a waste of time and art.
If they feel like drawing an npc, draw a new one ;p
If they feel like drawing a location, design a new one (like an underwater base :^) )

also, i feel like there's a need no, not need, but, i feel like it would be cool to have some more battle backgrounds. ya'know?

oh, oh, and some items to decorate our faction HQ =D

euhm ... *just brainstorming ideas on art we could use* ... euhm ... maybe a ... pffff ... ö house items, cool new house items =D

Battle backgrounds? Sure, I've also noticed that in the animations, the lining of a character to the "ground" isn't perfect, making the character look like they are floating a leg above the ground.

Houses? Meh, if they aren't interactive, I find them much too bland to interest in, what if we could sit in our chairs?!

I would like more areas, like lawman's office, the one place behind minetower's shadow guard, exile's HQ, that are west to overlord facility (look like an island with a huge crater), or that area next to the electro hazard that is to dangerous to pass.
Also wouldn't mind some faction perks, like credits for the members of the faction who won 1v1, 2v2 or WD.

id rather have factions be worked on and have them be a big point in the game. I would wait we have good equipment right now which can be bought enhanced and compete.

Well to me revamping old artwork is quite important.

I love this game. I have invested alot of money in it and would like it to grow.

Now what is the first thing new players see when they get into our little world ? They try a battle. They look at the graphics. They look at the characters art and the background art. With so many games around to choose from, new players will make a very quick decision wheter to continue playing and maybe get hook on it or simply quit because they had a bad first impression.

Of course as Lycus said, it is still in the end a matter of opinion.

More features and also, more features is the key. New players can't use level cap gear anyway. Did I mentionned new features ?

I'd like it if we got either an auxiliary or an armor as a promotional. That would be... refreshing.

And if there is not much going on for gear in promos, what about a credit prize of 100k? That is worth 2 class changes, hahaha.

I would prefer seeing the developers take their time to add new features and balance because due to the intake of new equipment, if it does not make the game imbalanced, it definitely will distract our developers!

I can see where you are coming from, but think about it. There is so much, and yet so little.
What I mean is, every time a new promo comes out, it's almost always (rough guess here) 30% better stat wise.
And since stats make this game, it renders old gear null and void. From what I've noticed, it's this new gear that causes the balance issues.
The classes themselves are pretty balanced. The problem? A strong set can give more stats (when fully enhanced) than you would normally use on one.
The gear needs some re-calibration.

As for factions, I think that the game would greatly benefit from faction improvements.

There is something that comes to mind for me though. Bikes, they need a purpose for being.
Maybe a biker only area where you must have a bike equipped to enter. Since free players can still get bikes but only for a high price (or by being really lucky).
Make it oriented towards maybe, level 28 and up. New npc, with missions, and an achievement for beating said npc.
Maybe add in a super discount shop; selling weapons that already exist for a smaller price.
99% of the biker owners have invested quite a bit of time, or money (or both).
Just an idea.

How about they focus 100% onto balance for a while.

And make the game actuly enjoyable to play agian.

do u really have any idea y game is getting imbalanced ???

Level cap raising is 50% reason for it.

Raising level causes many prob, and to solve those probs, they make some more balances , which make every "moan" in the "Forum" , then whats the good reason in level raising???

give me some points that would make things fun or "at least" balanced if the cape is raised....

i don't see any fun/excitement in level cape raising !! (its only a "silly" competation , who touches the level cape 1st??? , which is decided in a "single" day ) sory , but serious time "not supported"

I think it is important the level cap be raised at least once a year. Players need an incintive to keep playing. Personnally, I think it is challenging to try to reach the next level.

There can be many reasons for a player to battle hard to reach level cap. Some of these reasons might be wrong but on the overall it keeps the player base motivated to keep on playing.

One thing they could do is raise the cap 2 levels at a time. Now that cheating is about impossible, let them reward hardcore players.

Honestly, all we need are a few rare bazookas on April and that's that. No need to add more weapons and promos anymore since majority of the players have what they need. It's time they use the finderbot more appropriately.

I disagree.....for example,there isn't a mutanting weapon with high support....would be nice for the next weapon to be physical with these stats:

11 dex
4 tech
11 supp

+ 10 Enhancement Slots

I change my mind, I said "6 months or annually". I'm perfectly fine with just annually as there is a large window to focus on features and balance.
