ok we all complain about how mercs are underpowered and stuff but what if the smoke that got took away from tac mercs was given to normal mercs.

please discuss!


1) no flamming
2) no going off-topic
3) not a suggestion beacuse im not suggesting anything so dont turn it into one.

i don't think that having smoke+bunker buster+berzerke is a good idea

The 3 beginners classes(Merc, TM , BH) is supposed to be weaker in comparative to the *new classes. WHY??

if the old classes r stronger then the new classes , then who would change class?? low level/newbies players get to choose a strong class without even working for it,i mean , without any efforts , its free of cost.

My view , old classes should be weaker then the new classes, so players can change class and hve smthing to look foreword.

Bad idea, Merc goes OPed. But i dont support , they replaced smoke with field commander , they could have given smthing better , skill.

i love mercenary as they are i don't wanted them to get too strong so the balance team destroy them

The devs even said they weren't supposed to be stronger. If they were then how do you expect a non varium to get 50k credits while going against lv 34 full varium with one the evolved classes?

OT:
No, they are getting a passive which will hopefully bring them up.

Intimidate and FC buff + new Rage skill will take care of it. Just give it time, and there's Balance Threa for this type of stuff.

Ganster this IS a suggestion, but as long as you discuss it without talking about people saying I support/ I do not support... then it should be OK.

If Mercenaries possessed Smokescreen... I would be a bit iffy about that. I find that Smokescreen belongs to the hunters who do not possess practical striking skills, with Mercenaries or Tactical Mercenaries there is a very strong synergy of Smokescreen itself and skills like Double Strike (1 turn cooldown), and Maul or Frenzy. The debuff/nerfer skill that I would find acceptable for the Mercenaries is the opposite of Tactics, using a Strike to damage and lower Support. I would say this because, it is original, and it does not have a power combo with skills such as Double Strike.

It would be nice to see some new skills once again.

But you can stigmatize them to answer the way you want them to because of your topic (eg. suggesting Smokescreen for Mercenaries).

Tbh, I think that merc well get "more OP" with a new passive that increase rage, other them having smoke. If this happen, with the rage passive, will my build get so much stronger then it would with smoke. Yet I dont really think smoke is good for Mercs either.

No. It would create to many new OP builds considering it would replace BS that is completely useless. FC + Zerk + Smoke = OP. Zerk + Maul + Smoke = OP. FC + BB + Smoke = OP. FC + AS + Smoke = OP.
