Stabilis -> Search Help (3/21/2012 15:54:19)

I need to search for posts.

The Author is me. I know the name of the thread. I need my replies to such thread. Time does not matter. The number of returns does not matter. I do not have a specific term to search. How can I find my replies to a known thread?

You can sort threads by thread starter by clicking on "Thread starter" at the top of the board. If you know which board you posted it to, you can sort the board by thread starter, find your name (the thread starters will be sorted alphabetically) and find the thread (if it hasn't been auto-purged already, which occurs on some boards). I think that would be easier than trying to use the search function.

More information on sorting threads.

OK. Now when I get to a designated thread would I be able to filter the thread itself?

Thanks for the support.

No, only Archknights and higher can enforce the forum rules if necessary. Making any thread, be it tagged, faq´d or neither, will not make a difference in what options you have on the forums.

Go to the Search menu, write your name in the By Author box,
select Search only Topics and Replies
It is best if you could limit the time frame as the search can return maximum 300 records. Set Time filter "within" X.
Return Top 300. And on the right Search in Forum panel select the boards you want to search in.

It is best for you to leave the Search Term empty, it gives better results if searching by author.

Here is a search on your name in the EDGD board for your last 300 messages from the past 3 months:
