^ what do you think about this? not a suggestion by the way beacuse im not implying anything

please discuss!

Now here is the suggestion to bring the idea together:

Right now you are able to choose another player as your subordinate in ally mode. In group mode you are able to choose up to three others (or more if the engine allows) to join your battle group. When prepared, the players are able to challenge a group level boss to battle.

This is how the combat system will handle the group:

The first two members of a group enter the battlefield. The remaining members sit idly by in the "reserve bank" outside of battle. To be "assigned" into battle from the reserve bank, an active member and a reserved member must declare a swap. As soon as a swap has been verified, the active member is switched out for the reserved member on the active player's turn, and this action costs a whole turn, therefor the reserved member is not allowed to perform an action. Just like in Pokemon games!

This would be a mess, maybe a fun mess, but a mess nonetheless.[8D]

Lag and boring mode. A mode like WWE matches would be more fun like you can switch with your partner. It will be like 1vs1 but whenever you want you can switch with your partner.

I feel lots of programming issues as well.

But what is already programmed is the link system. Oh how nice would it be to be able to team with a friend and do random 2vs2

But wouldn't that kill lower levels or non-Varium? We'd be facing 2 Varium Top-Tiers at all times.

They had a 3v3 in the old days but it lags Way to much so 4v4 definatly not

3vs3 was tested and it was proven that the lag was too much and by the end of the first turn the guy going last was almost always dead. It's not very likely one will survive 3 Cap Level players teaming up on him.

Here Ganster, you can take this and use it in your original post to make multiplayer modes easier to make, this is along the lines of what Big Turk said:

Link based TAG TEAM BATTLES :O

You pair up with a friend (the same level) and duel another linked group (the same level).

Its basically 1v1 except at any given moment you can tag your partner in to make it ther shot instead of yours and if you tag your partner in they recive the same warm ups and lose the same cool downs you would of already.

4 players mode, like 2vs2, but not teams, free mode.

Yes yes, that is what makes reserves a nice component in multiplayer, you can create various modes and have innumerable amounts of players in one match!

2 reasons reserves are good for balance:

By using existing battle mode formats (i.e. 1v1 or 2v2), no unexpected balance problems will rise as balance is observed the same way in 1v1 or 2v2.

By having more people enter a single match, it becomes quite evident for Battle Tracker to see which class of all classes is truly OP (especially when you get 1 player of each class in a single fight and see which player performs the best... example: a Cyber Hunter alone defeats 3 different class types by themself).

Alright,

I'm going to explain something real quick.

A long time ago in EpicDuel, there was actually a 3v3 battle mode. It was later scrapped because of the long time it took to match the players, and basically the last player would die first.

This pretty much is the same standards for a 4v4, which is pretty unethical.

I'm going to have to lock this, since this is a suggestion, and it's basically been nulled from as an option.
