MrBones -> Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 8:59:25)

Herm..

I am not sure if a thread have been made about this. The new varium auxillaries. Lagomorph ones . .

Why are they so weak ? At first I tought of an april fools prank. The non-varium ones are almost as good. The Easter auxi were a tradition of powerfull rares for years.. I wonder what happened.

Maybe it have something to do with the story arc and stats will be added this weekend as the bunnies prepare for something big.

What do you guys think about it ?

Please be nice.. after all, we are talking about cute bunnies here . .

Lycus -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 9:04:38)

To promote balance, all new weapons will be going through stricter standards, which RabbleFroth came up with to coincide with the latest Weapon balance overhaul. These were the first to be ran by the standards, which is why they have the stats that they do. This means that weapons released at each level will be either high stats, low damage; low stats, high damage; or medium stats, medium damage. This promotes a much more balanced weapons structure for the future.

MrBones -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 9:16:01)

@Lycus
Thank you for your quick response.

It seems to me that only the new auxis are affected by the new rule. Looking at the stats for the egg guns, it feel like any new powerfull seasonal rare.

Overall, I have to agree with a stats restructuring as I want the game to keep growing and being healthy. I am just a bit sad as I was expecting new killer auxis from Easter to replace my overused eggzookas.

I guess I have to take one for the team :)

Calogero -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 9:18:17)

Doesn't this change affect older rares aswell ( the Older Bunnyzookas for example )
This would mean you could just use the older ones to have a lot more stats and only 1 less damage than everything new untill a new levelcap occures

Lycus -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 9:56:59)

I don't know completely what RabbleFroth has planned, but I know he's been creating charts of each weapon type (Wrist Blades, Mauls, Auxs, Guns, Staffs etc.) some of which have been linked to on this forum by him. So all the new weapons introduced last release will have certainly fell in sync with those charts to create fair new weapons, even if the guns do seem really powerful, I can assure you that they coincide fine with the balance charts.

From the charts that I have seen, a lot of the level 31-34 weapons are already on/very close to the line of best fit created by the rebalance of all the other weapons in the game. This means that almost all weapon types from level 1-34 are now balanced in the fact that they progress fairly and in balanced steps. This is shown very clearly by how close they are to the line of the best fit on each chart. Overall this means that not many of the level 31-34 weapons do need changing balance wise, but if they do, you can be sure RabbleFroth will be on it very soon!

Remorse -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 9:59:22)

But the new aux's don't have high damage...

They have average damage for a lvl 34 wepon. (39 damage is average for a lvl 34 aux)

And example of having higher damage would be Dark star and that actualy makes sence.

Have I missed something were suddenly being a higher level wepon makes no diffrence???....

Infact I really cant understand the logic of alot of the changes...

Like fore example betas....

WHY were they buffed?
Im not complaining because I have them but it defeats all sence of logic in my opinion.

And how exactly would it be balance if level 21s!! can weild wepons that give the most stats out of the WHOLE GAME!....

What would make sence to resolve MANY issue currently is level changing of alot of wepons and perhaps make betas a lvl 29-33 wepon and thus justify the high stats.

I can understand Not makeing a bunny aux as powerful as previous years, But it has less stats and the same damage as some already released lvl 34 auxes....

Basicball -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 10:05:35)

@Rainaka: I do hope we will see some juggernaut balance changes by the 13th (2 weeks after the update that made it way more difficult)

because, (i don't have all data obviously, but) winning % in juggernaut seem to have dropped by 10 to even 20%

this is to much. i agreed that there was a need for some balance changes, but this it just to much.

^ Agreed,

With so called " Wepon balance...."

I support making jeggerunaught back to how it orignally was!

(Lower level range)

Totally agreed and supported :)

zion -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 11:13:17)

At this point even a jugger fight against 2 properly built lvl 24 non-var caster mages would be tough - see my post in the balance thread.

ansh0 -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/3/2012 11:37:43)

Agree with all of you, juggernaut has become so much harder now. Especially if you are a non var BH like me. Me no gusta :/

Juggernaut has always recieved the short end of the stick, without a reason.

thekingofRAGEinaqw -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 1:42:48)

I totally agree with you guys.

1) Juggernaut needs a buff. Before the change, i used to get 97-100% and that was with an epic build. Then, few months later........i got 94-96% with an even more epic build (better weps). With my brothers account, i got 95-98% with a 32. It is unfair because the variums lvl 31 can get a lvl 34 juggernaut who they can easily defeat, sometimes even wothout a partner. This affects the no vars the most as their weapons are not as good as the variums.

2) The new bunny themed weapons are oped for the non vars and are not so good for the variums. Proof that they are oped: +38 (like last years bunny aux and the other varium auxes), their stat points are +6 and +6 in the middle (energy version) which gives them a good buff. One thing which i think was not mentioned was that the non vars only had 1 aux that was +37 (seasonal-rare!!!!!!) and then instantly got an aux that was +38. Compare that to the variums. They had about 3 auxes that were +39 and the bunny auxes are not +40. I mean this is INSANE!!!!. Usually the bunny auxes are the best available, e.g. bunnyzooka +33 (at that time) were ultra powerful and were the first of its kind (by that i mean the first auxes to be +33), then the eggzookas, the first auxes to be +38!!! seriously!!!!!. The increase was 5 damage (actually 4) and this one was only 1!!!!!. This is not the nice zookas i was waiting for the whole year

Luna_moonraider -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 1:49:52)

stat wise the new non variums zooka are not that gr8 compared to Eg;graphite gun and carrier zooka. the guns are gr8 stat wise and looks too XD. idk but they made the var gun look ugly IMHO and it looks like ya carrying a big phat egg in battle. but the phat egg gives gr8 stats XD.

that's totally true. its just to ugly to wield.

Ashari -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 7:07:26)

Juggernaut will definitely need a look over after the item restat. The level range has always been a problem given equipment stats had such a bumpy scaling. There were ranges in which Juggernauts walked all over their opponents, and in other ranges, like levels 33-34, you didn't stand much chance as the Juggernaut. Finding a suitably balanced level range wasn't really possible with the old equipment stats.

With the restat, there's no longer a level 29-30 spike in equipment stats, so we'll definitely take a second look at the level ranges for Juggernaut. The matchmaking levels could use some lowering and tightening as well to provide consistently challenging, but not impossible match ups.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 8:54:02)

has anyone considered reducing the level of encumberance? like from 5 levels to 3.

part of the problem with Juggernaut is level 29 players get access to a lot of powerful items that they can enhance, and level 30+ players can use the best items ingame,
and usually fully enhance them. this means Juggernauts have a strong chance of facing an enemy they could actually lose to in 1v1, let alone 1v2.

Basicball -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 9:23:56)

^the problem wih lowering the level differrene from encumberance, however, is the fact that people would be unable to equip the gear they already own, which might force them into playing with lvl 1 gear.
I suggest removing more stats/damage per level istead.

DestruRaGe -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 9:47:18)

Auxes are good thats all. xD

What really needs attention is a 2vs2 mode! Its a disaster, unfairness at its best!

PivotalDisorder -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 12:29:45)

@Basicball: what about enhancements not counting until you reach the level of the item?

friend18 -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 12:55:27)

The problem with juggernaut are the pairings... I'm level 31 and I often get paired with a level 26-28. They always quit after seeing a level 34 juggernaut...
That results in a 1 v 1, which I usually lose (Juggernaut are tanks and my build isn't for taking on tanks).

I feel that there should be some equation to determine the pairings. The new update to Juggernaut seems to have helped though. I also encounter Juggernaut less often, which I like because I enjoy doing 2 v 2, not Juggernaut.

EDIT: Oh and another thing is that many players have HORRIBLE builds where they just waste skill points. The problem is that if you ever get paired up with one, you stand no chance against the Juggernaut, who is the one who chose Juggernaut and has a build designed for Juggernaut.

ultrafried -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 13:24:04)

Back on the topic of this post: The new auxs are really well itemized but a little weak in terms of stats. I wait and see if rable is really going to change the old rares to his new scailing but if he isn't I think the idea that the new years gear is weaker than the old years gear is just silly and I will be a little anoyed if it's going to take a few more level cap increases before gear that was realeased a year ago is outdated. I'll admit this is mostly because I wasn't around a year ago to obtain said gear but still i'm not paying for weak gear.

Stabilis -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 13:44:22)

Is is wrong to have Defense and Resistance more difficult to achieve, and have level 1 weapons actually have 1 damage?

JohnMenzies -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 13:49:57)

Give the Varium Lagomorph Auxiliary +8 Dexterity and +8 Technology. Requirements 40 Dexterity 40 Technology.

ultrafried -> RE: Bunny ? Bunny! o.o (4/4/2012 14:05:09)

@Void
If they want to make defence and resistance harder to achieve they should change the scaling that’s not really the problem. The problem in my mind is that the eggzookas have been the best aux for over a year now and it seems like it's going to be even longer before something better comes out. As I said before my opinion is bias because I never had the opportunity to obtain one but still I think this is an unnecessary and unfair advantage.
@John
It's not just the energy aux that weak but the physcial one too and one too. I would say that they should give the energy one +3 support and the physical one +1 str/dex/tech
