Opinons ? I honestly think this is a silly move , Its been there for a while , why should i get -4 on my weapon or armor just because i am at the minimum level ? Is this a subliminal plan to force us to level up faster ? what are your opinions on this ? Its limiting me for being a lvl 29 character with plenty of credits

Actually, I believe this is the better alternative to not allowing lower level players access this equipment at all.

Its radical , you already have to be picky about the correct enhc , gear etc , now you have to make sure its the right level as well , makes things super difficult for lower levels

It's so you can get higher level equipment faster without it going rare or to get stronger. Even with encumbrance, Lvl 30 weapon is weaker than Lvl 34 weapon at Lvl 30. Why? Because Lvl 34 weapon has more stats or may have more damage (focuses on stats, damage or neutral) which is an advantage.
If we take Lvl 30 Neutral weapon and Lvl 34 Neutral weapon, 34 has advantage in stats because their damage will be 30 but Lvl 34 makes up for the stats + gets stronger as you level up (encumbrance fades).

Personally, I think it's great! My TLM who's Lvl 29 bought one of the new Auxillaries that are Lvl 34 so I must get to Lvl 30 to use them but what I get is more damage than my current Pie Launcher which is why I bought it. And it's (seasonal) rare so chance is it may not be back or I won't have any better Aux later on.. [:D] And it helps promos - you can use them earlier on rather than be specific level just to use them. :)

I like encumbrance because it helps for matching battles in 2v2 and Juggernaut. Although the equipment can imbalanced for juggernauts, especially after the revamp, lower levelled players receive a handicap when handling a player of a greater level, and that is good. It comes down to which player made the wise decisions when buying equipment, and the total stat differences on either side.

There is nothing really to stop you from buying any weapon or armor.
It comes down what do you value more, it is like anything the encumbrance
is equivalent to a learning curve. Rare the person that just pick up a skill, tool,
weapon with out going through some growing pains. But once a person learn
then in the hands of a skilled it reaches full potential. Sometimes you have to
be patient. I made a choice to buy a robot over armor for my non varium merc
and I regret that decision, because even with the encumbrance I would have gotten a
boost in stats +6 in dex and tech and a fixed 4 in defense which would have meant a
whole lot more victories instead of the loses I have now. :-)

Encumbrance was a great idea. I remember back before it was implimented seeing all these amazing weapons that it seemed like I was NEVER going to get, and wishing for this very thing. then I stopped playing for a few months, come back, and BAM. My wish came true. [8D]

Be glad that you are allowed to use higher level weapons at all. It is an unfair advantage that lower level players do not deserve.

If anything encumbrance has to be more. When I was leveling up I was using things my level (or below) and I never had a bad record. Now I'm seeing 29s and 30s with level 33 and 34 gear with a terrible record. Personally I think this just lowers the strategy aspect of this game.

I'm with Rej I see low levels throwing away records for level cap gear and no armor which pretty much ruins you without Encumbrance I had full gear by lv 28 High Priest Armor, Caden's Wraith and some other odds and ends because I didn't get a real gun or aux until lv 30ish
