The past..... Character Creation: Well firstly, I found out about this game while playing AQW (or was it DF o_O), it was during the time of the merger and I was gonna read some DNs for that game then I saw "EpicDuel New PvP bla bla bla" At first, I thought it was the long awaited PvP mode in AQW but when I clicked it, I realized it was a new game! I spent a dam long time choosing, designing and naming my character. Usually I pick the warrior-type or dmg dealer/tank type class in ANY game but ED had different names for them and I didn't know which one was warrior-type so I just picked the class that sounded dam good to me so I picked BH [:D] Sad thing is, I made my acc before founder stuff was released [&:] but I didn't know about the achievements so I didn't pick up the dam beta achievement [:@] My Initial Gaming and my Equips: I remember making some friends that was the same lvl as me at that time, mostly from 2v2 fights and low lvls like me. I didn't know the difference between physical and energy weps so I didn't care what I bought and how much it cost, I only looked at the dmg of the wep, nothing else, not even the stats. I used the default light blades till I got logan's wrath and it was then my long-term blades. It also helped me to get the only available non var aux at that time, the silenced launcher(long-term aux) and the hurricane gun(long-term gun) Past goal/s: My goal back then was to get the best non var armor (for me it was space pirate and I didn't pick it because of stats, I picked it because it looks better than stealth suit) and with that I succeeded. After I regained enough credits, I then decided to buy a new and stronger blade (and by stronger I meant high dmg and whatever the stats), the energy saw. And my next goal was to get the royal cleavers (due to its high dmg and oh-so-good art) where I failed to get creds to buy it before I got bored of the game. The Supp Revolution, my past build and my Exile: When I got what I wanted (excluding the royal cleavers), things were a little tough due to the rise of the FC/supp mercs who packed a punched plus they had the older (and imo better)hybrid armor which combined with their strength rendered 1v1 and some 2v2 fights hopeless. The build I used back then was..... out of place compared to the builds today. I followed what the other BHs did, had high/max stun grenade and multi-shot. (2v2 build) I also had 1 massacre in there because it looked cool xD and even then, I can't remember if my energy fitted all those energy costs of the skills. I got to lvl 26, and no var, due to boredom kicking in and new stuff in my other games, I decided to leave for a while which turned out to be a DAM LONG time. The Return: Years later (just this year I think O_O), I remembered this game and decided to come back... and this time, I thought things out. I read guides in the forums and quickly learned the stat's importance. Amazingly, I had about 6-8k unused creds that I saved up seemingly for royal cleavers in the past which allowed me to change my blade for a better and updated one. I bought the emperor's blades with the creds I have and sold energy saws. I also changed my skills/stats to a better one to start off things. Max SA and Bloodlust, the rest in smoke. My gun, aux and armor actually lasted for a longer time as I used it to grind NPCs from lvl 26-30/32. Eventually, I looted a rusted but better gun to temporarily replace my current gun. After all that hourly grinding everyday, I had about 70k up creds and I didn't even thought of changing class. I decided to buy all I need, stop grinding NPCs and actually fight players. Current Me: Now I have good weps, have enh and a good understanding about all the stuff in-game. I'm battle ready again and pwn for my faction! Ok..... why the hell did I write a journal entry o.o TL;DR? => Past me: Picked weps for looks and dmg, didn't care for stats / Didn't understand the res/def and phy/ene stuff so not very combat effective Present me: Picks weps that have high enough dmg and had the stats I need. Also knew the res/def and phy/ene stuff so I'm combat effective now xD
