@above: Rewinding back a little in the thread, Rabble has mentioned that this is being looked at.
Personally haven't seen a difference when fighting NPCs from before and now.

Hey, Al can type when he wants to, he is just selective. As his friend, Al is a brilliant guy and I respect him in and out of the game or forums. There is no need to judge that which you do not understand, he even has some surprising secrets and stories that I will not enclose here.

For some reason, I am vaguely surprised that you even know what a math formula is.

And no, you are completely wrong. Luck is the pure randomness of the game. If luck were truly based off of math formulas, then it would be theoretically impossible for a player with 50 dexterity to block a player with 80+ dexterity 5 times in a row, yet this has happened to me on three separate occasions.

It is possible to calculate the percentage at which each lucky factor occurs; However, that is simply a guideline, and has little effect on how or when luck factors occur.

Oh noes my 100 str 0 dex build is get bloked now :( Gess wat i hav 100 dex and i am not blocked by npcs.

Having higher dex, the highest possible stat progression still doesn't make you always block and never get blocked. Adding more dex is only a 'higher chance' of blocking, not insurance in blocking. 0 dex < 100 dex = True, but 0 Dex CAN block. Maths is a huge involvement in this game, but sometimes, luck can be more.

Anyway, I didn't experience more blocks nor less blocks. I have 120 Dex so since changing to Dex TM build, I had more blocks (I blocked) but that's natural I suppose with previous 70 Dex or so. :P

Guys I feel we are arguing too much on this topic :/

I just played for an hour, and in total I got the amount of blocks I expected to have with 90 dexerity and a lvl 4 SA. So, i really don't see an issue.

Thank goodness for that. I was beginning to think it would never happen.

I actually have not noticed an increase in block occurrences- except when I am using my high dexterity items. For some reason, I seem to get blocked more often when I have more dex, but that could be pure, random luck.

The blocks are about the same it is the increase of getting hit with a critical attack
that hurts, just have to adapt and be prepared to heal.

After the update even a player with so low defence blocks me!! And it hurts when you use static and it get blocked :P

What I mean by usual is it's is all over the place.

Looked into it, fairly sure no changes were made to block calculations either in general or to NPCs. They *were* given the ability to deflect now, but nothing seems to have changed regarding blocks.

guys, retrain with 101+ dex and then go NPC. it is CRAZY.

my level 29 BM has gone from getting smashed by Capensis, Brachylagus and Valery to completely pwning them due to so many blocks.
I also changed my 34 TLM to 101+ dex build and I was blocking everyone so much I actually had to keep apologising. bear in mind I have
had builds with 140+ dex and shadowarts, and still not seen a fraction of the blocks I have seen since the last update.

it is effecting both PVP and NPC fights.

also for those players who regularly do Armour Hazard etc, I bet he is blocking players a LOT more than he was pre-update.

I have to go with Comic on this one, i'm getting blocked a lot more than previously, at first I thought I was just getting unlucky, but then it became more prominent.
All of the luck orientated side effects seem more apparent in players with lower stats of late.

So I started recording this morning, with my +5, 96 dex, 80+ tech, tech mage build, straight away, I get blocked by a player with 40 less dexterity than me, I'm repeatedly slapped about by Blood Mages who spam strength and have under 66 dexterity, tehy're not missing a single hit, then I get deflected by a player with 50 tech and he gets a crit on me despite having 32+8 support.

I then have a 2v2 battle with a pure tech mage on my team, and we're against two massive dex/tech TLM's, I thought we had no chance, since the guy on my team was level 28, with 24+7 resistance and 14-16 defence. First hit from this TLM with 101 Dexterity, blocked, then the next turn he fires his sidearm and gets deflected, then the kid on our team uses his Aux. Crits, and kills him :o Needless to say we won, but quite unfairly since the odds were against us.

I'm not imagining it, I'm definately getting blocked more, deflected more, critted on more and going last a lot more against players with much lower stats.
