I remember their was a topic about this a couple weeks ago, but I really think this should get more attention. The EpicDuel Forums no longer contain anything, at all. Every thread I see gets locked in here. Whats the point of having a general discussion, if we can't discuss? For all of you who think "Well the threads that are getting locked are out of hand", they aren't, at least not all of them, and because of the harsh rules set in place on what we can/can't discuss, there is very little room to discuss anything anymore! Its really a shame, because the old EpicDuel forum was so full of life. Yes, things got locked, but the general discussion was exactly that, a place to discuss anything you wanted about the game. It really makes me sad, because I remember the poll on the old forum, when the players ruled that we keep the old one, and the developers ignored us saying "The Battleon forums will make everything that much more official, organized, and productive" (at least something along those lines). That was years ago, and nothing has happened. Where are features like the polling system we used to have, or individual threads for balance, instead of one congested pile that nobody wants to read through? The forum is clunky, and lacking features the old one had, yes, but the real problem as I mentioned above, is our freedom to discuss the game. Silencing the general discussion is like telling everyone to communicate using paper letters again, instead of cell phones, email, and technology. It can be done, but its not efficient, slows everything down, makes everyone feel a little bit crappy about themselves, and is extremely unproductive.
Here is a recent example of a justification for a locked thread:

Who is to say that said speculation is pointless? Why does this make such a bad thread? The community is thinking, and discussing the game, and that is what the general discussion is for! Pointless thread or not, if people want to discuss it and arn't doing anyone any "wrong", it should stay.
So I guess this is a plea to the forum staff, who I very much appreciate, to loosen their grip and give us our voices back. A community should not be shunned for thinking and discussing the game, that is why these forums exist in the first place.
So please discuss! What do you think about this issue, and what changes would you like to see in the future? I know the staff has mentioned an overhaul of the forums in the past, but as of now its all talk and now action.
Hopefully you guys don't see this as a rant, I tried to be as respectful as I could.
