I noticed a thread earlier today that was about weapon speculation. I thought it was pretty interesting but it was locked because it had no direction and was considered aimless, pointless speculation.


So in this thread we well be focusing on the picture in the may 1, 2012 design notes post under Infernal Armaments. *C-C-Click me please*


From what I see, there are wires running along all the weapons which to me suggests stat heavy in technology. I'd like to see some support mixed in with the bunch.

Remember, all we have to go on is that picture so stay on topic everyone.


I look forward to reading everyone's different thoughts.

Well, fire and flame seem to be a profound component to the war. I think fire will be the theme of all of the equipment in that chapter, including the promotions if they have any. I do like to see the unstoppable attacks like Jack-O-Fire and Thorn Assault, but those could end up cliché so quickly... so I would rather see a fire DoT to health like Frostbite does DoT to energy.

For stats, I will be looking for something heavy in Technology (15-20) and semi-Dexterity (8-10). It would help Technology casting builds more... and for a few good reasons:

-challenge the overused Strength builds

-change up the pace with the first ever Technology promotional Primary

-bring Technology up to popularity as did Strength and Support

At the moment, that is all I can say.

I really like the fire DoT idea. It would definitely add a new twist to battles.

Yes I hope this friday we will be able to buy fire badazz weapons with new special ability!

Personnaly I wish they would work more on the actual 'cake' rather than adding icing.

35 damage, physical OR energy, +20 strength, +3 dex and tech, +5% bonus to connect, and 10 enhancements.
Who else would freak out if that was the weapon?
