How would you feel if all multi skills such as artillery strike, plasma rain and multi shot inflicted dmg not only to your opponents but to your teammate as well? I think this would make 2vs2 a little more enjoyable. At least to myself. This is my first thread post so please be gentle...

Shadow Rouger -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 12:11:44)

I'd hate it so much, since all multis go up with the opposite damage they do, they do energy damage and go up with dex, and artillery strike would crit your partner to the max, long answer no, short answer no, but in one aspect in higher levels, say 40-50 ths might be good, until then not that great.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 13:21:09)

players would not use the multi. simple as that.

MrBones -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 13:23:01)

Maybe they could incorporate a very very very slim chance of that happening nothing over 1%

Stabilis -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 13:26:30)

Friendly fire in a strategy game? Interesting...

Elf Priest JZaanu -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 13:42:58)

An honest fact, accidents happen in all phases in life. Errian I highly suggest adding this in suggestions. There are many possibilities as a % to an actual skill.
Very creative, and since I have been part of the forums, I don't think this suggestion has ever came up.

Well Done :)

This idea made me think about Final Fantasy Tactics, thank you! Now there are more suggestions from this topic that someone like me can suggest to liven up the gameplay here.

RabbleFroth -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 15:51:31)

An interesting concept, but we would never do something like this because of the griefing factor. People could specifically use it to kill their partner, which we probably (read: definitely) don't want.

Something that had a chance to rebound back on yourself might be kind of cool though. Could present some nice risk-reward gameplay.

King Helios -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 18:43:37)

It is a great idea, and don't worry EP, I started recently too.

Rabblefroth,

Could you maybe make a CH Ultimate where it is a slightly weakened Massacre, about 10% lowered at max, and have it heal 10% of damage it does? Also, as you suggested, give it a 3?% chance to take half of the user's Max HP.

A Massacre at about the same damage, life steal, and chance to self-harm? Would that not make it either severely under-or-over-powered and never neutrally powerful? I remember the skills being completely unique so we would not be recycling skills this time.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 19:08:32)

^
Actually really underpowered.
Most BHs have lv 6-Max Bloodlust so they already have more health regeneration. Now with even less damage you will have neither the health gained back or the damage dealt.
So in other words, an incredibly weak massacre that has a chance of harming yourself.

Stabilis -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 19:19:30)

When I think about it, yeah, definitely underpowered as long as it is not used by Strength exploiting Cyber Hunters.

rej -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 20:49:25)

This would be a useless and detrimental feature unless the damage dealt by multies was increased by at least 50% to counter the friendly fire damage.

King Helios -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 21:29:28)

About my Massacre idea, what if it was the same idea, but could take some of your foe's energy? (This assumes that CH's lose EMP).

frogbones -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 22:56:25)

Why don't you let the "team" balance Ch before adding new skills or features.... God knows they are slow enough as it is trying to remedy blatantly obvious problems.

LatinLover/Martini -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/8/2012 23:23:09)

I think it would add a lot of adversity to 2vs2, possibly make the matches quicker. But, I think it would debuff mercenarys, and they are debuffed enough as it is.

My idea was maybe 2vs2 did recoil damage

PivotalDisorder -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/9/2012 3:29:13)

oh now I realise why I posted in this topic, Frogbones complained about CH in this and another topic ^^

charwelly -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/9/2012 5:57:14)

I agree with MrBones there should only be a slim slim slim chance of it happening

Xenii -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/9/2012 8:21:40)

^agreed, it would only have to be a slight %. I think it would change the whole playing style of how 2vs2 is actually played, players I think would stat abuse less, and maybe perhaps we could see new skills or bot specials that perform area-of-effect shielding for teammates.

Shadow Rouger -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/9/2012 11:22:19)

How about a skill for some new class hat does extra damage but takes damage from himself (certain precentage) from time to time?
I wasn't saying it wasnt a bad idea, just that it would as rabblefroth said grief tonnes, i use it to kill noob partners but whatever lmao.

Stabilis -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/9/2012 11:26:43)

Skills that costs health or use the Sidearm, Auxiliary, or Robot.

Rarest -> RE: Friendly fire? (5/9/2012 12:38:37)

Hm. I agree with not adding this, due to grief. But perhaps a powerful attack, that takes away a % of hp depending on the damage, so maybe level ten said skill hits 65 removes 12ish hp?
