Main topic: What is your stance on the relationship between the two when together in a game like EpicDuel?

Are you pro-strategy, anti-strategy, pro-luck, anti-luck...

How does this affect your critique of EpicDuel? Do you have any suggestions regarding this?

I'm pro-strategy. Certain aspects of EpicDuel are currently not that well designed for strategy based builds to be very effective. I've proposed a suggestion recently regarding a similar issue. You can read more about it in The Evolution of Battle Mechanics topic.

I am 100% pro strategy!

I try MANY different builds to beat the spamming ones (the ones that everyone uses) and I have had a lot of luck being called a n00b and a hacker! :)

Definetly pro strategy. Wish luck was slightly more ballanced, but a little luck is a good thing.

I use strategy to mess up my opponent's strategy. What does that make me? Pro strategy or anti strategy? Hybrid maybe? [:D]
It's difficult to be anti luck and also reliant on luck due to the fact that it's always random. You get a block when you want a crit, and crits when your opponent only has 3 hp left. Too much luck is involved such that a single factor changes the tide of the battle. Something needs to be done about this.

It is kinda hard to define mine...I spam everything...in a strategical way so to make the most insane combos...
seriously...it's REALLY fun with amazing results...i call it...strategical ham....i mean er...spam

*Wonders if there is anyone who is pro luck.*

Of course I am pro strategy. Although, a lucky block once in a while doesn't hurt.

More just strategy. Click same buttons. Do the same thing. Hope you kill.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Strategy and Luck (5/16/2012 21:54:11)

Luck should only be the deciding factor in a fight between 2 completely equal opponents who both have a good strategy.

I was thinking, whoever had the most skill and first turn would win. [&:]
