I was wondering that aren't these two skills WAY too OP?

They already do sky high DMG with moderate tech. Then you add the 25% crit chance and you get another 10 DMG.
And they are tier 2 skills.

A DMG'ing skill doesn't get more OP than this



What do you think?

BB only works at low and mid levels, you never see any 34 BB mercs but you might have a case for Plasma Cannon,
as it works very nicely with Blood Lust. I don't think BB and PC really have to be identical, classes aren't identical.

But just look at their placement, TIER 2!

It should be at least tier 3 or 4.

redesign the skill tree and put it in the suggestions section?

I hate the entire tier system anyway, skills like Venom Strike would actually get used by mid level players if it was tier 2-3 but instead it is basically a redundant skill
and is UP against full varium level capped players anyway. I also feel the same way about Atom Smasher being on final tier, although that is a great skill at any level.

They also scale differently than other skills, it improves by 2 dmg every 4 tech until lv7 then it improves by 3 dmg every 4 or 5 tech.

PC/BB can easily reach 65'ish base damage with 80'ish tech.

bunker busters ok, we ddon t wanna nerf a up class, but maybe for bm swap their bludgeon for plasma cannon

The problem is with tiering, skills are placed randomly with no buff/nerf or anything. Example is CHs: Venom at Tier 3 with same power of those that BHs own BUT CHs get lower requirement. EMP and Matrix are also swapped (tiers) yet same power, welcome to weird Tiering.. -_- Another example is Stun Grenade being Tier 2 for TLMs and Tier 3 for BHs, and Tier 4 for Plasma Grenade having same power as Stun Grenade - makes no sense.
While I do share similar opinion, this is the case of TMs owning Plasma Bolt which is much stronger but no effects, so Bunker is Tier 2 and effects give it power to match Bolt/Fireball.

What Balance Team should do is explain to us tiering again and stick to it, rather than place skills randomly with no buffs given. <.< >.>

problem is when they change skills or introduce new ones, they tend to put them in same spot as the skill removed, when really
all the skill trees probably need a full review as far as tiers go [which includes skill connections, TM and Merc get really shafted]

What Pivotal said, most classes have those new skills where they replaced old ones and need a skill tree revamp. BB and PB aren't really a problem, those kinds of builds are so frequent now they seem like the problem, when in reality their not

BB is definitely a bit unbalanced while levelling, if it wasn't, you would see other merc builds, but almost all are max BB and max AS. I support moving it to a higher tier.

Plasma Cannon's tier spot seems less of an issue cause their aren't that many low level BMs but if they ever make the evolved classes available for free from the start
then I would also support moving that up a tier or 2 too.
