King FrostLich -> More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/25/2012 21:17:26)

We will now be reaching another level to 35 I think and well it's that time were every build can now do 110 hp 5 focus builds for mages and 109 hp 5 focus builds for hunters and mercs. Problem is, since we are restricted to go for higher health, we have to use the other points for mana(if ever needed) and stats. As far as I can see, more stats are being placed for every level and every new weapon and in time, we will all be nothing but high hitters - low health users spamming stats forever and not making duels epic but strength/damage dealers/makingfieldmedicsoweakitcantcounteracritorhealenoughhealthandthatlevel1fieldmedicatalevel1characteris10hppointshealedwhileyourenemyhitsyouwith9or10oreven11 so can we just freaking remove agility so we can stop nerfing each other and return field medic but let it scale until it reaches a certain amount of support points?

Not sure if that is a failproof idea if what this promises is for Tech Mages and Tactical Mercenaries to endure higher damage and possibly loop a heal.

Without agility, their damage taken is slowed, and that is with more health. With a Support improving Field Medic, Reroute and Support synergized looping. Support builds that outdamage or outlast Strength builds, would seem extreme considering every Strength build that there is today. And those builds are dangerous, the difference is the number of damage output per turn (Strength damage every turn with Strike/Sidearm... Support damage upon every Auxiliary).

ur going to fail -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/25/2012 23:51:31)

I can see a few problems with removing agility. not sure if it is gonna be wise. Maybe let ppl with under 95hp have +2 def/res but as soon as u hit 95hp+ you get nothing.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/25/2012 23:58:41)

If they have 95 health then they obviously invested into defense and resistance. Besides, why should someone gain something from neglecting a stat?
Have field medic improve with support, but put a max on it per each level.
Remove agility, add more stat diminishing between the current ones and one above the highest one.
Make technology improve resistance like dexterity does with defense. (decreases high tech builds)
Then tanking and high strength builds will be weaker and we will have better fights.

Promaster -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 4:31:58)

Technology does improve resistance.

Littleblazey -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 11:27:34)

^ But not by very much, I noticed that with more 60 dex and 60 tech, +48 dex from enhancements +29 tech from enhancements I actually have more resistance than defense which is kinda weird ;)

Does that not imply that Technology Resistance bonuses are quite high?

Littleblazey -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 12:10:32)

Yes it does? o_o

Mr. Black OP -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 13:08:03)

@Pro master
I meant have it improve resistance more slowly.
http://www.epicduelwiki.com/index.php/Stat_Progression
At 121 dexterity you get 33-40 defense, at 121 technology you get 36-44 resistance.
By doing this it will require more stats into technology from tank builds, weaken high technology builds, and will overall decrease stat abuse.

ND Mallet -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 13:10:11)

@Black OP Tech improves faster because Deflections have a lesser chance of happening than blocks and only reduce damage by 50%. If blocks were less powerful than dex would improve fast like tech as well.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 13:17:40)

^
Yes, but technology improves bot damage as well while dexterity does not improve any kind of weapon.

ND Mallet -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 13:21:12)

@above But bots can be blocked still. Even if tech increases bot damage, you can still block it entirely. Dex does not directly increase weapons, it only increases your damage output by allowing you to hit more.

Battle Elf -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 13:27:52)

Brings back memories of 150 hp builds....
I wouldn't mind agility being gone.

Stabilis -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/26/2012 13:30:20)

Specifically, Dexterity controls the random chance of when a Melee skill connects. Defense reduces damage input/output directly, and Dexterity controls Defense.

Midnightsoul -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/29/2012 1:52:26)

i cannot mention enough...

MAKE AGILITY LEVEL SCALED

supermasivo -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/29/2012 5:44:36)

Agreed, since ed team nerf support stat, everybody goes to dex-tech or STR abuse only... before we had more variety of builds... str buse still exist but, we had too 5 focus, and support abusers... battles was even more fun then... take away agility and give some more importance to support again.

Lord Machaar -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/29/2012 9:11:54)

I have been waiting for this, for long time, 5 focus with 109 HP :D

Stabilis -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/29/2012 11:36:34)

Field Medic that improves with Support stats should not be in the same skill tree as Reroute.

That is my one and only issue on the topic.

If anything, I would like to see Reroute become an energy Bloodlust or EoT (energy over time increase), that would break the synergy like that *snaps fingers*.

Actually... no, not EoT, players will find a way to exploit their D/R, giving their skill enough time to restore Field Medic.

Scratch that, EoT could potentially work, statting D & R would drop the overall Support count, preventing a player from reaching a frequent ability to Medicate. Feasible with the correct calculations!

Agility is not necessary, Strength and Support must be or have been broken, I recommend checking the balance of something like Strength first before implementing bandaids like Agility.

rej -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/29/2012 15:25:06)

Yeah... Technology has several large advantages over dexterity. Pity Cyber hunters have to rely more on dexterity than technology, else they would be even more overcharged.

InceptionAE -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/29/2012 17:34:09)

Supported.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/31/2012 12:14:43)

Agility was the worst thing that happened to this game. I support. High HP builds were the bomb diggity.

Lord Nub -> RE: More stats - less health, easy and cheap battles? (5/31/2012 20:16:08)

I agree agility is now much more of a problem than it was a year or so ago and needs a revamp.

Also, Field Medic needs its support back, 0% minimums need an introduction (This guys very happy with the dex change btw, getting closer to 0%), and what is with the nerf to multi damage? Really? That creativeness is now gone....lets just continue clicking the debuff, strike, strike buttons to win our duels....

Got new mods? Forum names still say member, character page no longer shows names as green? Good thing EVERYONE read that one post on the design notes about who the new guys are, shoo.

Overall I'm a sad panda :'(
