Lord Machaar -> The New Missions... (5/26/2012 18:28:30)

I won't say that the new mission chains are bad, i like 'em actually, the texts are good (nice job cindy), but at the end i found out that i just wasted hell of my time, exactly at the last mission (Legion)... i got shocked actually when i found out that all the credits i was collecting through the 6 other missions(5500 credits) , is going to be wasted on a sword for 3500 credits so i wasted my time to get 2000 credits by doing 7 missions, How Lovely, i won't say that i didn't like the objectives, but i want to say that the rewards are also important, and i want to mention also that if some tokens were implemented as rewards, so you can help us a little bit to get the new cheevo faster, could of been great, but Ow well... Too late! maybe next time! but generally the missions were good...

Just want to mention, that the req of missions were +30, so the shiny credits you gave us, i don't think it was enough to satisfy us :P

ConQrR -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 18:31:43)

+1

Missions should be more rewarding.

Lord Machaar -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 18:35:04)

And more flexible with things around, could of been great,!

DeathGuard -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 18:54:13)

To add to your post, I must say if the last part of blueprint scrap was to pay 3.4k credits, the reward for turning up the items(all of them) must give some nice reward( I would prefer a high amount of credits, a weapon over an achievement).

veneeria -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 19:05:00)

I am alright with what i got from the missions. Got some credits and a still mysterious blue print. I am really curious to know why Cindy is giving us blue prints but anyway i am using them for paper planes while i have them anyway. :P
The new mission system has been really awesome so far but i would love if they could explain me where is this and that (like where is this npc and that item they are talking about).
Something that i also noticed, is that we can get directions or "chat" with the npc after the mission is done by clicking on that finished mission button.

About missions being more rewarding, i guess that is alright too? In others mmorpgs or even in aqw, they have got both xp/"money" and item rewards (multi rewards), which ED kinda lacks.

It is a new feature Cinderella told us about, let me find the link to it.

They're just starting another saga so we can ask for much, they must let us involve deeply in storyline and then rewards us at the end of it, makes sense and hello, nice work on those concepts, I'd like a dish full of epicness today ma'am,

Cinderella -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 19:50:09)

I made the rewards lower credit wise to avoid providing incentive to switch alignment.

Renegade Reaper -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 20:07:21)

or better yet, if you do switch, have the npc giving you the mission call you a traitor and attack you lol

Basicball -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 20:28:49)

didn't you notice the fact that they were linked, and that there wer missions that required random fights? personally, i absolutely loved it. + the fact that you gaon money from these random fights, where you don't from challenge missions.

rej -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 21:04:25)

I was personally hoping for an achievement award. And yes, the 7 missions for 2,000 credits was rather annoying. The achievement that the blueprint scraps give you better be worth at least 2,500 rating points....

@Cindy, you guys are just going to have to work on making it so that you cannot do missions of both alignments. That, or simply stop making alignment based missions. Always having the threat of players switching alignments hanging over your shoulder when you're deciding on mission rewards is extremely inconvenient.

Joe10112 -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 21:05:56)

I'd give you my input on the rewards, but of course, the first quest of killing Snork and Caden 7 times is just plain annoying. Seriously, STILL at 1/7 kills. Either "nerf" them a little, or change the requirements. I don't know how many level 33/34 nonvars who don't have ENH are going to finish this first quest...

liy010 -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 21:11:33)

Hey Joe, I remember when I killed them (Caden at level 31 and Snork at Level 32)...I was sort of Non-Var...I had Frost Destroyer but no ENH

Frost Destroyer can be easily replaced with Surgical Slicer and the rest of the equips I had were Exile Solider P, Dragon's Breath and Hunter's Cannon (No Bot)

My Defense was like 26-32+7 and Resistance was like 24-30+11 (PA)

Snork is just EMP, EMP, EMP and Caden was head on battle. I needed a few (Like 2-3) lucky blocks and 2 boosters but if I did it at level 31, I think you can do it at level 33

l Chop Suey l -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 22:58:06)

The whole mission chain was basically all credit-wise and in the end you get another blueprint and I have 7 of them from the bionic battalion saga in my inventory which is funny though.I wonder if were gonna use them for a purpose?[8|]

Jekyll -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 23:43:31)

The staff should come up with a use for the blueprint scraps quick. Its making our inventories look very messy, and that's not good. The reward better be worth the credits we lost in pursuit of these blueprints.

rej -> RE: The New Missions... (5/26/2012 23:47:45)

@Jekyll. Think about how many hours we've put into working for these blueprint scraps. They would would have to be worth a hefty sum of credits (50,000 at least) for the quest to have a reasonable time/value ratio. Much better to just have an insanely valuable achievement.

Joe10112 -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 0:04:52)

@liy: Sure, I beat them all before, but I just don't know what to make my build into right now lol. Plus I have an E armor.

koolymon -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 0:31:25)

I like how the quests give a story for why we are doing what we are trying to do the objectives and how it ties in with the overarching story

Ya, I'm not sure if they were buffed as well from one of the recent updates. It's pretty annoying that it's the 1st quest, since I would expect that this first quest would be the roadblock most people would encounter. And the rest of the quest chain seems easy enough, so more reason for the snork/caden to be last

Joe10112 -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 1:32:51)

@^: Buffed or not, they present a challenge to 90% of the ED community. I bet only 10% of all ED players can take down Snork/Caden easily. Me? I know I can take them down, I just don't want to retrain into a new build because it THAT doesn't work, I'm just wasting credits here.

Yeah, Snork and Caden were bad ideas. I bet next quest it'll be to take down like Titan and Charfade.

Lord Machaar -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 4:40:26)

I mentioned in my post that the Objectives were nice, new and gave us a challenge, but that's not what we all looking for, as @rej said: "stop making alignment based missions." if you can't handle that guys, you simply just follow the old school, same missions for all... it's good for us all, no double work for you cindy, no alignment changing, so the rewards (i won't say huge ones) but rewards that met the missions req... as the last ones (+30)! and this is just a suggestion able for discussion...

sylar67 -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 5:08:00)

you know Cindy , we can change allignment do all the missions and stop and the sword one :) thats 5k creds earned then change back to our allignment and do the missions and get the blue print thats a 5k creds win ;)

King FrostLich -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 6:13:55)

I don't understand why people would change alignment just to get an extra 2k credits over missions. 50k credits/900 varium or 100k credits/1800 varium(if player wishes to return back to his/her faction alignment) is 900% waste of your total credits/varium.

charwelly -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 6:20:37)

are then new exile challenges?

Darkoake445 -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 7:22:50)

I think it was mentioned that the Blueprint Scraps would be used for "special alignment goodies."

Mecha Mario -> RE: The New Missions... (5/27/2012 10:59:21)

If you wish to discuss the latest missions, you may do so in =ED= May 23rd Design Notes - The Mines Open thread instead.

Locking this up.
