Not trying to be mean but its common sense. There is an update

Santa ClawZz -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 17:04:01)

Epic is not offline, it's just not online.

King FrostLich -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 17:04:53)

I saw it earlier with the big word "Offline" while other servers were open. Normally, all of them should be offline not one but whatever.

RabbleFroth -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 17:09:42)

It crashed shortly after the patch. Is back up now.

You saw "Offline" because of a new automated crash detection system we built. If a server goes down, it will now be labeled as Offline and will open the next server for login.

King FrostLich -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 17:12:05)

Which is why the best way to anti-crash one server is to open all of them at once rather than locking it.

RabbleFroth -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 17:45:17)

We've been exploring ways to minimize load on each server after an update. Don't think opening them all is the best way to go, though. The servers need a reasonable population to make sure battles start quickly for everyone.

ScarletReaper -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 18:06:20)

Agreed. Ever tried 2v2 at night when only 200 people are on a server? Not much fun. lol

Mecha Mario -> RE: Epic is Offline? (6/1/2012 18:44:39)

Locking this up. Since this is a new feature, you can continue to discuss about this in =ED= June 1st Design notes - 1.4.5c Patch Notes instead.
