All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply!

This is a helping forum: artistic discussion belongs in The Lounge. The Art Academy forum is intended to be used for questions you may have and guides or tutorials you have made, but not for the discussion of their merits or of the answers given.
No Duplicate Topics
If you have a question, please search the forum to see if someone has already asked it. If there is already a thread about your topic, please read it first to see if the replies answer your question before posting another.
No Hijacking

This forum is for questions, guides and tutorials about art - not about grammar or how to remove viruses from your computer or what music you listen to while you draw. It's about questions regarding how to use the computer to perfect a piece, what the best brand of paint for use on canvas is or how to get an effect someone else used.

Before asking a question, check out the guides and tutorials in this forum. Your fellow artists have compiled their expertise into documents to help you - make use of them!
On Answering Questions:
Please remember that we were all new once. Responding to questions with kindness and understanding is not a request, but a demand. Any replies that do not add to the topic at hand will be removed - some without notice, some with penalties including official warnings. Any instances of discourteous replies that flame or troll another user will also be met with consequences including official warnings.
