Competitions - Official Rules All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply! These should be the first thing you read when you join the forums. They apply everywhere; this means that any behavior prohibited by the Universal Rules is prohibited in this forum. This means no flaming, no trolling, no spamming including your signature and emoticons. Events Procedures All events should be run through the <thread link>registration thread and approved by an AK or Mod before it is posted in the appropriate forum. This includes any collaborative project or challenge issued to another artist. Please limit yourself to participating in no more than three (3) collaborations and/or three (3) competitions at a time. Once the event is finished, please ask an AK or Mod to lock the thread or add [Completed] to its title to signal one of us to lock it. Image Size Requirements for Competitions Please limit the images you post to competitors' entries. If the images are above 800 x 600 pixels, please link to the images instead of using image tags. Voting Rules Biased votes are not allowed. Attacks on others' art will not be tolerated. Please be descriptive when posting reasons for voting – short one or two line reasons are not beneficial to the artist. Cheating Cheating is not allowed. If you change the image after the contest starts, ask people to vote for you, or cheat in any other way, your entry will be disqualified and your forum account may be subject to further penalties. Ripping "Ripping" for these purposes shall be defined as the use of another's art without permission. The consequences will be severe for anyone found ripping someone else’s art. If you think that your art, or someone else's, has been ripped, please PM superjars; do not post about it. Rip cases are private, between the accuser, the alleged ripper, and the original creator of the artwork in question. Any post on the forum accusing someone of ripping will be seen as flaming and be treated as such. Please include as much information as possible in the PM so it can be taken care of quickly. If the person under question for ripping is found out not to have ripped, the case will be dropped without repercussion. Respect is Not Optional Participation in battles requires that you treat each other with courtesy and understanding. Competitions must remain fun, above all else, and any instances of rudeness, cruelty or ostracism will result in the immediate closure of a battle and any further penalties deemed necessary by The Gallery forum team.
