In a universe like ours, darkness and light
were in harmony like day and night.
Yet the universe collapsed when the elemental pillars fell,
and created a tale and war worth the tell.

Corruption of Shadows infected them all,
creatures large and small,
creatures weak and strong.
The creatures knew their lives were wrong
and sought their freedom and rights.
And through the portal of time and lights
they found their way to us.

Out of this collapse also came Erebus, the First Born.
He waged a war and caused us to mourn
over the timely devastation he created on Lore.
Yet through the wounds and gore,
the valiant heroes swore to win back their beloved home.

The battle field was covered with cries of war.
Things looked grim for us until we felt what we were waiting for.
The brink of possible defeat surged hope over the depressing scene
and that hope made our war senses clear and keen.
Finally, the creatures of Shadows fell before our feet
and we knew that our foes had tasted a hearty defeat.

Off against Erebus we went,
with Falerin who had just gained a Godly ascent.
Erebus, though weakened by the sentient steel of Eventide,
refused our offer of his surrender, to which he replied,
"Never can mere mortals like you defeat a being such as I!"
Alongside my trusted friend and ally,
I unsheated my blade and charged.

His magic was strong and fast
but with new hope, I blocked the spells he cast
for the sake of Lore was in my hands
and I would not let Dhows take control of any Lorian land.

Finally, with a strike swift and true,
I bid him a nice adieu
as my blade struck him down.

The war was now over.
