With there being so many things you could do these days...have you given it any thought? Work for a huge studio? Start your own? Be the goto guy/girl for Nike ads? Just have fun? Movies/Games? Work on an AE game? Become a rock-star? Write the next Harry Potter/Twilight Series My philosophy in art has always be been "master few, great at some and dabble in everything" so in the end I would love to have my own studio create products for all types of media that are innovative, creative and inspiring. Although I def wouldn't mind working for a Square Enix or Dreamworks :D

I figured out a few years ago that any job that I did not enjoy wouldn't work in the long-run so I pretty much HAVE to make my art into a career. I have several places I want to go, mainly cartoons and comics as I like to tell a story and I have so many ideas. Right now, I'm a decent artist but I lack a more...professional edge, and motivation. My production rate is so sporadic it's shameful e_e

I join some collabs, take requests in my spare time, and recently, I've been trying out for the university publication. But my dream is to work with gaming companies, either for visual novel illustrations or concept art. To join AE's ranks would be a great honor, and DF sounds like a great place to start.

As most people said, joining AE would be a dream of many people in this community, including myself. AE introduced me to Flash art and to the Actionscript programming language, which made me want to work in the computer fields. Sadly, I do art mostly for a hobby, and I don't see a great career in this path. Yet, I'm not that bad, so I don't see any reason why I can't have a small job in this field, or even producing something for fun, like a web comic. On top of this, having some artistic ability will help me create more projects by myself, instead of relying on other people to do it for me.

well jecht as you know i want to take my art and other talents and start up my own online game develipment company. i have the drive to do my own thing, and i have my own philosophys on how to do things that wouldent help me working under someone else so cuppled with my abilitys i want to build from scratch. right now ive already began to create my first game along with some other talented people and im begining to get an understanding of what it means to be a career artist and leader though my efferts. its a hard dream to build but its the one i want to pursue so im happy nomatter the challange.

Personally I am not trying to take my art into a career, though I do love doing it as a hobby. Though I must say I never got into art in general before AE.
