Nexus... -> To boldly go where no game has gone before. (7/26/2012 21:12:24)

This is a PVP game. Ask anyone, the heart of this game revolves around Player vs Player interaction and battles. I find it weird that this PVP game, you know, EpicDuel, has been around for approx. (3)+ years and through allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll this time we have gotten 1 new PVP mode, as in 1 new PVP mode... So then the question becomes, what are they releasing every week? New content, bug fixes, and anything other than balance changes, because as we have all come to find as a community, balance cannot be fixed. The only new game mode is premium...as in, it is only available to a selective few in the community because it requires the purchase of a "key" to unlock it. Non-Variums rarely buy this game mode because their equipment isn't good enough to sustain a 1v2. The mode I am speaking of is of course, Juggernaut. Wars are fun, but only fun to a point, and that point is when you realize that the only practical way to win is through the use of bombs, which cannot be purchased for Credits, but are instead dropped (luck based) to the masses, or purchased with a premium (real money) currency. Quests are really boring! I'm not trolling either, I like quests in other games, but in this game its Win [X] 1v1 Matches, Challenge [X] Players/NPC, or purchase an item using credits. The rewards are pretty bland to; credits or tokens. My point is that quests bring nothing new to the game, they only minorly expand on features we already had. Drops could be so much better. Once again, I'm not trolling, its just that drops are pretty much useless to anyone who has Varium, because the only items that drop are outdated, non-rare, and non-unique weapons. The only useful thing that has come from drops for me is 1000 new credits. Yet again, drops are an example of a feature that only minorly improves on an already established system. Enhancements are really pricy, and only further the gap between Varium and Non-Varium players. I'm not going to discuss this much, but its hard for a feature that costs 150k credits or 1200 Varium per item to be of much use to the majority of players, and to the rest of us who do use it, its just feels really awful as customers to spend more on stat points (balance) then on the actual weapon (art). The story is ok, and I respect Cindy for all the hard work she puts into it, but I miss BigTuna (if you don't know who BigTuna is, he is Andrew Garfields character from The Social Network). Anyway, talking rabits are cute, but I can't help but wonder why we arn't trying to get ourselves off Delta V to explore new worlds, new civilizations, and boldly go where no game avatar has gone before... So back to the original purpose of this thread. Where are the PVP features? Where are the: Tournaments Faction improvements Survival modes (yes MODES, PvE and PvP) 2v2 Linking Evolved class specific ultimates Hidden skill tree Partying (Name one game without a party system) Faction wars (yes, I want to see CAD fight Legit for world domination) [Mr. Black OP] 3v1- 3 lower lvs (lower than what a 2v1 jugg goes against) vs a juggernaut (premium mode) Survival- Fight players slightly below your lv range (5-7 levels lower) Extreme Surivival- Fight players 2-3 levels lower than you Primary Only- You can only use a primary, no guns, or auxes Battle Royale- 3 or 4 players attacking each other Lightning round- 5 second turns instead of 15 (does not count for daily boards) Tag Team- 4 players, 2 people each side, they can change anytime Spectator Mode- watch others fight, place bets (betting unlocks at lv 25, can watch at any level, max of 1000 credits) 3v3- 3 players 1 lv 10-15, 1 20-25, 1 30-35, fight individually and the team with that wins 2/3 is the winner of the whole match These are all features that beifit everyone, and expand on the heart of the game, PvP. The best part is their are 50 other features just like these, this is just the tip of the iceberg. So please discuss. Where have the PvP features gone, and would you like to see feature releases rather than content releases in the future, even if they may take longer to make? I know I would. Prophet [*AK's/MoDs] Please read the last line before locking. This is not a troll thread unless you consider pop culture references trolling. I have really tried to stay within the guidelines, and would appreciate some responses. I understand if you have to lock this IF it turns into a flame thread, but until then please give it a chance. Profanity removed. --SMGS
