Blaze The Aion Ender -> Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 2:12:38)

How are your wins and losses doing?
How many wins do you have?
How many losses?
What do you think is the amount of wins per loss that constitute a good player?
What do you think is the amount of wins per loss that constitute an average player?
Discuss what wins and losses mean to you, and answer the questions above.

Go! [:D]

Drianx -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 2:53:50)

This is what brings hatred among EpicDuel community. People (mostly full varium cap level) are too obsessed with winning every single fight, and if their win/loss ratio is only a bit lower than another's, they rush to criticize class balance or call others 'lucky noobs' and so on, without ever thinking their build or lack of skill may be to blame.

A really good player is a friendly and helpful one, who is able to learn from his own mistakes and to judge the game from a cold perspective. Wins and losses don't matter.

Darkwing -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 3:05:30)

Win rate doesn't make good player or average. You can't see if a player got great win rate with NPCS or in pvp battles

King Helios -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 10:31:09)

Wins: Not enough.
Losses: Too many.

No such thing as a good player anymore.

AQWPlayer -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 11:44:16)

@Drianx
+1 fame for awesome post ;)
@DunkThatOreo
There's only good payers and lucky players lol. If you meet a lucky payer, then you are as good as dead...

Naruto Uzamaki -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 14:15:47)

Vypie -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 17:59:39)

I have always been a non varium player and a rather squishy one in the past. When leveling up I did mostly 2vs2, AND I barely npc'ed... I had a multi build, but I remember i was quick to die when they focused on me.
When I reached level 28 I started to fight players with much better equipment, full varium etc. I kept going, and I then changed to a smoke massacre build, and I did fairly well. My % got a bit better, but not "awesome".

Today I DO have some varium items, such as Gun and Aux. Not because bought anything, but earned it. The weapons I designed for item suggestion shop gave me an extra boost and saved me some credits too. My ratings keep increasing, its incredible the difference it made.

I like to win, because its... worth it. But Losing isnt something unbearable for me. The win-lose record doesn't mean much to me. I will never compensate enough for the past, and I'm not even that competitive against full enhancement varium users. But I feel good.
I dont get mad or afraid to lose, I like having my mind clear of the %record. I can try and have my battles against tougher npcs without having any regret for a loss. I like chalenges, and I have fun while at it.

Im someone who usually goes over the scale and takes a game too serious in terms of playing perfectly, but I have learned from the past, its better to have fun and feel no regret from losing or ruinining the rating. As long as you are good RIGHT NOW.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 18:15:00)

How are your wins and losses doing? Good 1v1 I have more than 5x the amount of wins per losses, over all 4.33 more wins that losses
How many wins do you have? 22,613
How many losses? 5,218
What do you think is the amount of wins per loss that constitute a good player? 8x without npcs
What do you think is the amount of wins per loss that constitute an average player? Around what I have
Discuss what wins and losses mean to you, and answer the questions above. Nothing to me, with most of my losses coming from luck or strength builds they don't mean anything.

ScarletReaper -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/1/2012 21:09:10)

I have like 4000 wins and 2000 losses. Good enough for me. lol I don't need 90% or above to be happy.

Cookielord12 -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 8:29:18)

My juggernaut record is poor. I keep playing level 30s when my range is only supposed to be 26-29.

ansh0 -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 9:09:54)

Wins? Whassat?

Seijuurou -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 10:32:38)

My 1 vs 1 win are 9798 and my losses are 2880. I have to do npc to help my win rates.

nico0las -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 11:06:01)

I have yet to find a player who is actually talented. This game has become, on the strategic level, who can imitate successful builds the fastest.

Well, let's just say my % in all battle modes reflect how bad I was back in gamma and beta. To give you an idea, I have 12 888 1v1 wins and 3972 losses. When I came back from retirement (I retired through the end of beta and almost all of gamma), I had 3179 losses and 1293 wins. I made 11 595 wins while making 793 losses, so roughly a 93.6% ratio throughout Delta.

I could also say the same about 2v2 and juggernaut, however I'm really bad at 2v2, even though it's my favorite game type. When I returned from retirement, I began to play juggernaut, but quickly stopped seeing as a level 31 can't win in juggernaut. So I waited until level 34. There, I went from 286 wins and 312 losses to 1013 wins and 386 losses. That's roughly a 91% ratio.

1v1 wins: 12 888
1v1 losses: 3972
2v2 wins: 976
2v2 losses: 657
2v1 wins: 1013
2v1 losses: 386

I wish our ratio was defined by phase instead of total. I'd be extremely happy with a 93% ratio...

Clearly you haven't met me yet....

At first, when I read through that second highlighted part, I assumed you thought that 1013-386 was a 91% ratio. Now I'm thinking that you meant win rate you've had since you reached level 34. Am I correct?

DillBagel -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 15:17:02)

Back in beta "good" players existed. xD

Arcanis -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 16:20:16)

Yet I still haven't seen anyone offered any good definition of a "good" player which is not based on win/loss ratio.
1v1 is totally uncountable as it can be fixed through NPCs, in 2v2 you are dependant on your partner, while juggernaut is mostly dependant on class you are using for it.
I didn't have the pleasure to fight all players that use this game, but amongst those that I have I did have the honour to meet with some who would deserve to be called "good", or even "great", and it was based mostly on logic they used during the fight. However, I do must admit that most of them I did met during beta, where the class you were using and the amount of stats of items had a little bit of less effect than distribution of skills themselves.

Off course, most players like to see their ratio as a proof of their quality. They say numbers can't lie, but in this case they can bend the truth to certain extent.

Renegade Reaper -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 16:58:51)

@Arcanis one definition of a good player is based on his/her ability to adapt to situations, and how much attention they pay to the battle.
another definition of a 'good' player is how friendly he/she is towards other players. one more definition of a 'good' player is based on
how often they use derogatory terms for the players they defeat, a better player never using such terms.. IMO of course. another definition
of a 'good' player is based on his/her ability to create unique builds of their own, such as hybrid builds that work, but no one uses because
there are very few players using it, so theres no one to copy the build from. [8|]

Gotai -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 20:31:24)

I still think that NPCs shouldnt counts as 1v1 wins except for Boss npcs... And YES I do npcs...

i like bounty hunter -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/2/2012 20:54:25)

I began at the start of bionic saga and now my rank is hero.
About 1.500 wins and about 800 losses for 1vs1 and 1100 wins for 2vs2 and 750 losses

Pretty bad am I right

The only thing which will change my record to being good is by getting warlord rank. (in my view)

rayniedays56 -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/4/2012 7:15:11)

How are your wins and losses doing?

Good 1v1. I have about 1000 more wins then losses now that I have grown out of "der" country :)
2v2 is still not good. Have about 200 more losses then wins.
Jugg is excellant. 5 times the amount of wins vs losses (lols, not many battles though)

How many wins do you have?
4385 1v1
1244 2v2
38 jugg

How many losses?
3254 1v1
1405 2v2
4 jugg

What do you think is the amount of wins per loss that constitute a good player?
Doesn't matter. I think a player with a higher win rate is better than one with a low win rate *cough* strength bm *cough*

What do you think is the amount of wins per loss that constitute an average player?
Read above

Discuss what wins and losses mean to you, and answer the questions above.
Winning does not decimate whether you are a good player. Losses help you overcome the impossible and rise above many. :)

Fay Beeee -> RE: Your Wins and Losses (8/4/2012 7:48:43)

This is my personal feeling on wins and losses.

Wins are good to help your partner, faction and war.

I do not check my wins. I get what I get.
I do not check my losses. I do not bother with them. They are fights to learn from. Soooooooo I ignore them. lol

As long as you always do your best, be respectful to all and enjoy. That is my target.
I do set my self targets to go for. But personal ones, like Rank or Achievement, Missions etc.

Have fun and stay safe. :)
