Pemberton -> RE: trading update (12/1/2013 3:04:35)

No. This is very abusive and will break the DEV's promise and policy on rares. Rares are rares and should not be acquired after it's
promotional period is over. Next thing you know these new players will have founder armors, stun guns, gamma bots, delta swords, pyro flys etc.
This is a slap to the face to the founders and alpha/ beta premium members.

martinsen5 -> RE: trading update (12/1/2013 7:07:47)

@Pemberton, Slap in the face? I can't say I know of any other game where rich people DON'T buy rares from older players... as long as they have the right amount of money for it.

Darkwing -> RE: trading update (12/1/2013 7:23:11)

I would support it. I know AE games are aimed at kids, but they have gamble like arcade in ED and other AE games, so that's not aimed at kids either.

Mother1 -> RE: trading update (12/1/2013 7:57:52)

@ darkwing

it isn't really a gamble id you win something everytime now is it? There is no chance of you losing in the arcade now.

However this isn't a decision the staff can make. AE already said no to trading of items so until they change their minds the staff can't go against that. But even so I don't support the idea.

This will give free rain to any scammer who wants free rares and items that they can get to scam unsuspecting players who aren't smart enough to realize this. When that happens the scam victims will be trying to get their accounts and items back which goes against another policy that is in play. It will be a headache for the help staff an unnecessary headache IMO.

Jekyll -> RE: trading update (12/1/2013 8:06:39)

^That's the biggest concern.

Once there is an opportunity, there will be victims.

Jaseidon -> RE: trading update (12/6/2013 4:59:55)

wait wait wait, why not just being allowed to trade with npc's and they show you what they could trade you back?

Nightwraith -> RE: trading update (12/6/2013 23:23:31)

I'm usually willing to leave the door propped open for even the wackiest feature suggestions.

However, I can say with 100% confidence that there will NEVER be trade in EpicDuel. The Help Team is already overburdened with reports from players who trade and lose accounts. Building an in-game trade system would just be a one-stop-shop for scammers.

axell5 -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 2:06:55)

@nightwraith well what if people can make their own merge shops and put a REASONABLE price on them. If another player likes an item or two(or all) he will have to pay that price.

Jaseidon -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 2:33:53)

nightwraith already said there will be no such thing as trading in the game, so I think its safe to say this discussion is old news

axell5 -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 2:39:56)

but my suggestion and trading are 2 different things....

Jaseidon -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 2:42:08)

yes well its still buying things of other players which can still result to scamming if you post a unreasonable price and someone falls for it, there will be victims and there will be predators

axell5 -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 2:43:59)

no one would buy an armor for say 1000000 varium... or a weapon for 1 mil credits of 100k credits...

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 3:22:46)

people can just be so adamant at times, the staff already stated it many times, no form of item/currency interchange will ever be in epicduel, as long as it is swapping items between accounts it's a NO NO

but i suppose that people can continue to dream about it

AQisFuN -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 3:27:16)

This good be a long term project for you Devs. You do realise that if a trade feature is implemented, a lot of old players will come back, people will also be playing more, and the servers would be filled with players. [;)]

I think if you Devs make a secure system, like suppose I want to trade with another character. I click on him, and theres the button for trading. You can view his inventory and 'Request' if he can trade the item with you. Then he will have to put a cost to it, say credits, varium or other item(s). Without another player putting a cost to the item, the trade cannot proceed. After that, the other player can 'Accept' my trading request, if he does not, back to both the players inventories. There can also be a chat in the interface. And have like..2 confirm interfaces, one for each player. E.G. Are you SURE you want to trade <Item> for <Item/#ofCurrency> with <Player's Name> ? [Confirm]
The other player would also get a confirm screen like that. After that, the trade can proceed and each player will have the item they wanted. If any of the players log out, the trade cannot proceed. Oh and you can also block or ignore certain players from trading with you if you wish.

I'm not sure but I dunno how anyone can scam you..

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 4:19:55)

@above you seem to be unaware of stuff that's happening everyday, everyday we have people losing their accounts because they don't think before they act, so scamming is very much possible.

Jaseidon -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 4:38:09)

thats exactly my point trizz, although trading would be a good idea, it would be to hard and time consuming to control the problems

AQisFuN -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 21:16:38)

Yeah, I know. :P
But if Devs come with a secure system, and maybe try to tell the players what they are trading (Ultra-Rare, Rare, Legacy Item) then players will surely be more aware, think before they act/trade. Scams happen in every game, and every game has to deal with it. But it's better making the game super fun and popular rather then having no motive to play and scam proof. But at the end of the day, it is always the careless player who trades their legacy item for 'Hank's Cake'.

Melissa4Bella -> RE: trading update (12/7/2013 21:27:48)

I'm just going to post this quote from Nightwraight again, since it seems necessary to repeat it:

axell5 -> RE: trading update (12/8/2013 5:21:45)

just going to leave this here: In a game called crystal saga(it's an MMO game) and there is a map where you can choose some items you don't like or need or even have plenty of them and put it in a shop, you choose the price but it's reasonable which is: instead of selling at a lower price, you just make it the original price of it or maybe 100-200 gold under it. There is no scam because the price isn't above the original price. Oh and also, instead of that, we could make an item to be in a shop but instead of a credit price, they could make to trade some items that are with the same price or in close range ot if... i don't think there will be scam this way. If you still think there will be scam, point it out.
