Yes.
IF you get your name changed on the forums, your new forum login will be whatever new name you requested. You will also receive a new temporary password from me, because the forum software requires a new password when an account name is changed. You can then change your password back to whatever you want (which I recommend). This is why it is important to make sure the email address you have your forum account registered to is valid... if it isn't, you won't be able to receive the message from me with your new login information and you won't be able to get in to your account.
Forum name changes do not affect your user name or password in any of the AE games.
