Mother1 -> Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (8/31/2012 18:39:50)

I know people say that Varium is worth more then credits, but the amount of credits it takes to fully enhance weapons for non varium players is crazy. I mean for 6 enhancement you could get a class change and for ten you can do 3 classes changes and buy a silver skull card. Here is what I was thinking for the new lower prizes for non varium players

1 1000 credits
2 2000 credits
3 4000 credits
4 5500 credits
5 7000 credits
6 10000 credits
7 15000 credits
8 30000 credits
9 37500 credits
10 45000 credits

With this Non variums could afford to get enchancements, and it would close the gap between non variums and variums without tipping the closing it completely. So what do you think of this.

Blaze The Aion Ender -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (8/31/2012 18:41:57)

not supported
If the prices were that low, I would never enhance using varium ever again :/
after I get the my first var items, I would fight enough to enhance the next var item i get

Rayman -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (8/31/2012 22:27:22)

Not Supported and of course Non variums Gonna Support.

What about you increase the prizes ?

doomturtle -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (8/31/2012 22:49:41)

How about this every enhancement is either 10k credits or 100 varium

Mother1 -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (8/31/2012 23:58:17)

I am a varium player, yet I actually used credits to actually enhance items, and trust me earning the credits wasn't a cake walk. Also for all those who think this will disvalue varium, it won't. It would be just like the infernal android is only much or affordable for non variums, and varium players can hold onto their varium if they want to or spend it to enhance it is their choice.

Abdulrehman -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 6:53:13)

I think for non varium it will best to enhance

Ranloth -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 7:14:12)

It lowers the gap and allows Non-Varium to compete. If F2P cannot compete and keep losing, why do they have to be forced to buy Varium if they don't enjoy the game as it is? They should get an initiative to buy Varium and good impression of the game, not losing all the time due to enhancements costing too much. Remember, every F2P is still a potential customers so they have every right to compete like Varium players who still get advantage over F2P items.

What we need first is Devs to set fixed Varium:Credit conversion rate, then we can base Credit enhancement cost off it.

Hatsuka -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 8:42:42)

Instead of Decreasing it, Make it Increase, Cause you know, Only Varium player that Really paid for the Game, and those non-var just play under the Varium'ed player money.

Mother1 -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 11:59:39)

Hatsuka there are those player (even though they are few and I am one of them) that do also do the adds to earn points to get varium as well. Not everyone who is a varium player pays for their varium.

But remember Non varium players are also part of the epic duel community and while Varium players are suppose to have an advantage of non variums, the gap between them is crazy. While some can compete most can't due to this. If they could afford the enhancements they could compete better and put up a better fight.

Besides even with these Varium players would still have the advantage since varium items have more enhancement slots then non varium items.

Oh and for those who are saying that they would never use varium to enhance again, there are this many other uses for Varium such as buying items, upgrades etc.

Steel Slayer -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 13:45:56)

Mother1, what do you think of this idea-leave the credit enhancement slots where they are, but only on gear that costs varium. Cut the credit cost in half for gear that costs credits only. My thinking here being, varium players already have the advantage of better gear, why make it cheaper for them to enhance it? Honestly, reducing enhancement costs doesnt make non-varium characters more competitive, it would just let them get better FASTER, but i could support that. Making varium and non varium gear TOO close to equal would mean Artix sells less varium, and why would they do that? I sure wouldnt slash my own income that way, so I dont expect them to, either. It also helps that the amount of credits given for victories is alot more now than it was last year, try leveling a new character now, you can easily make enough credits to buy all the gear you want, the last toon I leveled, I bought new gear just about every 5 levels, and STILL had enough money to get my level 30 armor(new city gaurd) by level 26.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 17:08:06)

Supported, everything is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to expensive, it would be nice to be able to buy 1 weapon without spending $15.

Blaze The Aion Ender -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 18:19:50)

@Steel
Because we buy varium, we have to pay MORE than nonvar?

edwardvulture -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/1/2012 19:04:23)

I rather make enhancements not required to win rather than having to buy thm.

Why not just lower enhancement costs for varium? That'll give everyone more motivation to purchase varium AND benefit players who have purchased varium.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/3/2012 20:21:42)

^
Because I would have to buy more varium then. [:(]
Just lower both and its one small step in the marathon towards fixing ED.

master x guardian -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/3/2012 20:30:33)

100% supported. It really is almost impossible for most non-Varium players to fully enhance their items and without even this, it's impossible for them to compete with Varium players. I mean seriously, it's ridiculous. By the time they have enough credits to fully enhance an item, a better item would come out anyway...
Of course, the main argument will be that it will be terrible for people who have already bought them but in all honesty, the game is constantly adding new weapons...you're not gonna be running around with the same already fully enhanced gear forever and should the day come when you lack the Varium to enhance your items, you'll want an easier way to obtain it with credits.
What mother1 proposed is not only better than the system now but it also is still fairly difficult to rack up that amount of credits. It would still require some dedication to say the least.
Again, great suggestion mother1 and I pray for everyone that it is implemented.

Varium would become pointless then :/ At least by lowering the varium enhancement cost, it'll be cheaper to enhance items with varium...

I usually use my varium for enhancements... It saves me credits.

master x guardian -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/3/2012 20:50:28)

Varium wouldn't become useless under these standards; farming 45000 credits is by no means an easy task and it requires dedication. However, the amount it is now is just insane. Although I do agree that Varium prices should also be lowered somewhat too. There's no way you should have to pay a value of 2 weapons to enhance one by only half of its original stat points. I mean does it make sense to pay 1000 Varium for a weapon with 20+ stats but then 1700 more to enhance it by 10 stats...?

Shadow Slayer 2 -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/5/2012 12:49:12)

I have to agree with this... that the credit prices are way too high and it should be lowered, however, the prices that Mother1 suggested are quite low and should be raised a little. Non-varium players usually have gear with only about 6 enhancement slots.. so in this case it would cost 10,000 credits which is a bit too cheap.

What about this:

1 slot 1,750
2 slots 3,500
3 slots 6,000
4 slots 10,000
5 slots 15,000
6 slots 25,000
7 slots 40,000
8 slots 55,000
9 slots 70,000
10 slots 85,000

What do you think of that? ^^ (I halfed all of the original prices for each slot)

Cookielord12 -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/5/2012 12:55:00)

Or
1) 1000
2) 3000
3) 6000
4) 10000

5) 40000
6) 50000
7) 60000
8) 70000
9) 80000
10) 90000

So The first 4 are cheap so the Non Variums to get a decent enhancement
And the last 6 are very expensive so the Varium players still get their 'Varium Advantage' as many non variums wont be able to afford that many credits apart from those who play a lot.

Drianx -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/5/2012 12:58:54)

I agree with Mother1's idea and prices.
And I agree with the prices mostly because with current skyhigh prices 99.9% of non variums will never see more than 2-3 weapons fully enhanced in their inventories within their lifetimes.

Shadow Slayer 2 -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/5/2012 13:07:54)

@ Cookielord12

From 4 enhancement slots to 5, the prices jump by 30k credits then they go back to jumping by 10k credits... I see where your going with this but a lot of non-varium guns have 5 slot enhancement which in your case is 40k credits which is over-priced and MORE than the original 5 slot enhancement which is 30k credits. It will make non-varium players take even more time to enhance.

(By the way.. I am a varium player)

Cookielord12 -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/5/2012 13:10:35)

Well those prices were just an example to show what I was talking about. Of course the prices can be altered.

Also, I think that all Non varium weapons should be increased to maximum of 8 Slots

Masterofthenoob -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/5/2012 20:12:08)

My Best way for pricing this credit enchantment is this
Credit: 1 4000
27000
3 12000
4 16000
5 18000
6 21000
7 23000
8 26000
9 28000
10 50000

( I got this idea from another game I use to play, the FINAL of what ever was increased was all was more increased then the others)

Well for idea idk if support it yet or not

Lady Blue -> RE: Cheaper prizes for non varium enchancements (9/6/2012 5:52:25)

i totally agree they should lower the enhancement prize for credits at least 60-70k for maximum 10 enhancements.
that's because i cant fully enhance my weapons and armor >_<
