Trying somehow to get this into GD. :) So please discuss your views on it afterwards. What do you think about The Devs and Mods have twitter accounts. Oh and facebook? Do you find it useful? IMO It can be very. :) Forewarned about new DNs Forewarned about bug fixes. More of a direct line to 'happening things' Today for instance. They are posting codes for free stuff from Dragoncon, all you have to do is be quick. lol And standing in front of any city guard. Personally I think the last one is great. As they are doing it for all of us that cannot be there with them, So thumbs up, I think. What do you think? Discuss btw. No spamming or trolling (or whining or whinging) Thanks all :)

I like the Twitter connection with the staff because it has many uses. Most recently there was a forums question that only a staff member would know and I shot it off to Nightwraith and boom five minutes later we had an answer

Honestly I never check ED staff twitter posts. They hardly ever announce interesting stuff there, and the community interaction is almost zero. If anyone disagrees, then please check Cysero's (AQW boss) twitter account and compare the amount of information and community interaction. Cysero posts dozens of tweeets a day and (repeatedly) answers a lot of questions. And don't you think that Cysero is not a busy guy.

@Kingpowerlord So far i think it has just been starter kits because that is what Volcon got and that is what i got, I got just weapons not the credits or varium not sure if Volcon got the same. So just watch twitter to see if a slayer promo is coming

It doesnt work like that kingpowerlord. You have to be ready and poised when it happens. Copy and paste it from Twitter into the code box that all city guards have. One one each time will win. Ask OWA above. He got one. Ask if he has any tips. :)

i agree with fay....i get most of my up to date information about ED from twitter [:)]....both the developers and the mods post quite frequently

I do think it is useful because you can keep checking for any new updates and if you go a way for lets say a week for vacation you can stay connected with the epicduel community so you dont miss out on any of the updates or patch notes that could effect epicduel forever. so in conclusion yes it is important for the mods and admins to have facebook and twitter accounts

My advice if you have Windows 7 pull Epicduel off your browser bar into its own window and throw it on one side of the screen. Have twitter on the other side. Head to a city guard and have the prompt open with the \| flashing in the text bar. Once the code is up Ctrl C Ctrl V enter and the gear is yours

^Twitter; Practel, NW, and Titan are giving em out for free. I just happened to be at city guard when a code came out; but it was already taken, yet Titan only posted it 14 seconds ago! O_O People are fast :O

^ It a starters kit man xD you dont need it. Facebook = completely useless Twitter = not completely useless Twitter is next to the DN's and the forums a good source for recent happenings. Keeps you up to date.

Aw come on Fay, have a heart for once. Think of all those little new explorers on ED wouldn't you grant them those starter kits. After all those are the most enjoyable times in ED when you start new and full of exitement (just to find out later it was all for nothing lol) I have no idea about the sellback for those items, but it can't be that much. Edit Don't worry you are, in fact i think i have never seen it otherwise. Even when i do think those starters might find the kits more usefull, they probebly won't follow the staff right away on FB and Twitter as soon as they start playing the game to redeem the code anyway.

@ Unknown Menace I thought I was being nice. (Or having a heart, as you call it) I was thinking of ALL the ED Community. I pointed out that Twitter and FB were useful to have, so that at least they would stand a chance. Sorry if you think that was wrong of me.
