I see that some of our developers are off from the forum but have the time to use Twitter for short chirps.

Is it relevant to feed twitter posts into the designated forum from the developers? The reasoning is if one would prefer to read from their staff but has to switch between forums and twitter for different purposes but not 1 purpose. This is more of a convenience and may possibly raise the aesthetic/intracity aspect as well.

Do you mean coding in some way to display the tweets? Not sure if that's possible, but I'm not sure it's necessary -- it's pretty easy for someone to just paste any important tweet into a thread and quote the developer who sent it out.

On a kind of related note, I've thought about suggesting a practice I've seen in a PC strategy game company's forum where there's a megathread for forumites to post developer quotes (so you don't have to read through tons of posts in the hopes you might find some "official" word about something), but a) the AEF have more places that information is stored and more people that help with Q&A and b) our devs post a lot more than that company's, so the threads would be massive. Search here also works much better than it does there. Maybe a thread for collecting tweets (with open posting by forumites so it's not much extra work on the forum staff) is something in between the two that could be helpful to people.

Implementing this could work... it has been done on Heromart.
