To my knowledge, there is no achievement for 500 fame. You go from a 100 Fame achievement to 1,000 Fame, to 10,000 Fame.

I think we should add achievements for:

  • 500 Fame (900 Rating) "Trendy"
  • 2,500 Fame (1,250 Rating) "Autographed"
  • 5,000 Fame (1,600 Rating) "Shining Star"
  • 7,500 Fame (2,000 Rating) "Sensation"

    Names could use some work, but you see what I mean.

    Supported big time. Many users get discouraged after getting the first achivement since they need 10 times the first amount to earn the second one, and ten times the second one for the third. This would help them keep going since there are some in between. But there should be one for 5,000 fame as well worth 1500 it could be called shining star. But all in all supported.

    Not supported there is already a flaw with the fame system people just ask for fame there is barely any players that get fame for being famous

    Doomturtle if it was the way you said it people wouldn't have fame or would barely have fame period. I have faced a lot of famous players and a lot of people say I am famous and known, but even so most don't fame unless you ask for it.

    Heck the only time I remember getting fame without asking for it was when the infernal war was going on, and a group of player would just do it because they knew that you wanted it and knew that you would give it. Not everyone knows that you want fame or will give it. There are a lot of famous players who don't care for fame.

    Besides with the way you make it sound the F4F system should be completely removed.

    It should, it was originally made to get more players into ED by having people advertise their characters.
    There is currently 0 positives of fame right now and a bunch of negatives.

    On topic:
    No. We should be doing the opposite and discouraging people asking for fame.

    @black OP I did suggest a referral system to replace the current fame system since referrals do the job of getting more people than the current fame system

    @ Black OP There is one positive and that is the leaderboard. It gives players something else to shoot for besides 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, and jug fights. They did also have warlord, but they removed it because of the new influence system and it was basically pay to win which was something that the ED staff didn't like.

    So a positive is a leader board, which is mainly dominated by people who are on other all time boards? Besides the people on that board are the people who get the most fame and they don't even have to ask cause they are on that board.
    I consider the all time board a negative, it encourages people spamming "F4F?!" and it takes up space (doesn't LBs cause lag anyways?).

    A referral system would work, would not lead to spam, and would be more effective at getting people to join.

    ^ I was thinking more of the dailies more then the all times, since everyone has a shot of getting the daily champ each and every day.

    But on the same suggest I remember you said the fame thing should be because people want to fame you not because you ask for it so how it is scamming fame if that person fame's you without you asking? I might be wrong (and correct me if I am) but that sounds kind of biased since one minute you are saying that they should be discouraging people for asking for fame then when people are giving people fame without asking you claim they are scamming f4f. Besides if they fame you without getting any in return it isn't fame for fame it is F4N (fame for nothing.)

    Upon looking through the old design notes I see your two points about the fame, and the all time LB causing lag. But before those two I do remember seeing get your friends to fame and other players to fame you thing as well.

    Yea they totally hated it. they did not make this game to earn money from varium purchases, it was to make fun leaderboards for free.

    and it will cost more f4f spams, and every lvl 1 to lvl 35 is asking for fames, in battle and out of battle. and begging for fames is just annoying and distracts from whats really important. It's a PVP game not a F4F game. that fame leaderboard has been nothing but trouble since day one and that's the leaderboard that needed to go.

    King Helios the ones that are on your list are just fine I think they are spaced out well enough and there doesn't need to be any new ones added. However with the way things are going, I think they might listen to the people who want it fame removed.

    Off topic @ Lord Loss

    Rabble did say it himself in an old thread that they didn't bring back the turrents because they wanted it to be fun for 'All' and they didn't want it to be Pay to win. While Fame for Fame may be annoying to some others do enjoy giving and getting it, and it is something both Varium and non variums can do and win at unlike the old warlord where it was the most varium dominated achievement up there.
