If you have gears in your inventory that you probably never use again, you should be able to move the enhancement you spend on them to a new item that you just bought, it's not like you lose or gain any enhancement, the enhancement is simply in a different location. All the NPC that allow you to enhance should have an option to remove the enhancements you used and store them in your inventory, then , when you click on "enhance item", the options should look like this :

-Varium prices
-Credit prices
-Use enhancement on new item

How it works:
Let's say you click on one of the first 2 options and you're removing the points on one of your unused item, you could keep pressing the minus button till it hit 0 and the enhancements are automatically in your inventory.The amount that you removed should be shown on top next to your currency. After clicking on the third option you enhance normally but you won't be spending credit nor varium.

Pros:
-Saves you from wasting varium or credit every time you enhance.
-You can now buy more items because you didn't spend any on enhancing.
-Sell your unused items without any regrets that you wasted varium on enhancing.
-People will start spending vairum wisely.
-Higher chances of getting on the Inventory Rarity list (if you're into it <_<)
Cons:
None

Not supported by doing this you will take away one of varium's uses once you have a full set of equipment enhanced. Next to buying varium items enhancing is the next thing that they use it for. By doing this you would be cutting into varium sells because people won't have a need to buy it as often since they will be able to make it last longer with this feature.

By doing this Epic duel will lose money from varium sells and that is bad for business. Anything that is bad for business would also be bad for the players as well.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: enhancement switch (10/1/2012 22:16:24)

Supported.
This game costs way too much anyways, if it makes the game more reasonably priced I will ALWAYS support it.

ND Mallet -> RE: enhancement switch (10/1/2012 22:21:53)

Not supported since variums will just keep switching all their enhancements over each time a new weapon is released so they can spend less varium AND still be on top of non varium players.

deltaknight7 -> RE: enhancement switch (10/1/2012 22:26:02)

it would be a nice feature but as mallet guy said ppl wont need varium as often

uria9 -> RE: enhancement switch (10/1/2012 23:39:22)

A bad game is also bad for business.
@Mother1 My suggestion does not hurt the game in any sort of way. When someone buy like a certain varium package then the money is already in AE's wallet. My suggestion change the way how players spend their varium once they already purchase it. People are MORE likely to buy something if it cost them LESS. In EpicDuel a 20 $ card can only give you ONE good item (plus enhancement), now does that sound worth it to you?.
Lets say you spend 60$ on the prepaid card and buy the highest varium package which always comes with some kind of promo(armor), now you need to spend varium to get a decent aux+gun+ primary. On average it cost 995 for each and you just bought 3 so that's 2985. Varium enhancement cost from 1200-1700 so 1700 (10 stat points) for primary and 1200 x2 (8 stat points) for gun+aux, that's 4100. THEN, you still have to enhance your promo armor so that's another 1700. You just spend 8785 out of 10k for one full set of gear. And because you want to win so badly you spend another 900 on class change (bloodmage, tac merc) so that's a total of 9685 varium down the drain. By next format you need more power so you spend another 60$.Since items are becoming more OP, it'll soon reach a point where you need more then 10k varium to get something decent. The formula for a successful game is how good the free contents really is,if it's good enough, players will spread this game to others. More players= more chances of the game making money. If it's bad then you obviously wouldn't show it to anyone else.
TLDR (Too Long Didn't Read) a good game = more players= more money , bad game= getting not very many players and old players quitting = less likely for players to pay. Just take a look at the most successful games right now, the developers aim towards making them GOOD and it made them a lot of money in return.

@The ND Mallet Guy
The game has been like that for years now, you're a founder you should know this already, there's nothing the admins can do to change the fact that this game is still pay to win. True people won't buy varium as often to ENHANCE, BUT, they will still buy more varium to get more weapons and armors. My suggestion for this enhancement switch is meant to be use by EVERYONE, not just varium player, so, the chances of victory between a non varium vs varium is still the SAME as it always were. You are my friend, i know very well that you don't fight much, but you do like to collect items so this thread would not even be relevant to you.

My goal with this suggestion is not to help the game make more cash, it's to make the game itself BETTER. Any long time player would notice all the wrongs by now with the game.This section of the forum is called SUGGESTIONS, NOT "GIVE US MORE MONEY".

Blaze The Aion Ender -> RE: enhancement switch (10/2/2012 0:20:23)

Here: How about if you do it, the weapon will be removed, as if you sold it

gangster a -> RE: enhancement switch (10/2/2012 4:38:52)

no then people will do this constantly and the devs would never add this feature.

8x -> RE: enhancement switch (10/2/2012 10:01:00)

It would be pretty cool if we could move enhancements from one weapon to another for a credit fee (2000 credits maybe?).

Lol non variums would benefit from the same treat so it won't be more unfair than it is now.

By the way, I support this idea and have suggested it in the past. One step closer to getting rid of enhancements money sink.

8x's idea above is also welcome; or maybe for a smaller amount of varium than it costs to fully enahnce a weapon.

OFFTOPIC - but supports the topic's suggestion
------------------------------------------------------
Here's a generic example of price unfairness:

weapon price: 995 varium
10 enhancement slots: 1700 varium

unenhanced weapon sellback: ~250 varium
enhanced weapon sellback: ~350 varium

So, for 995 varium you get back 250, but for 2695 varium (wep + 10 slots) you get back 350. Cool huh?

Mr. Black OP -> RE: enhancement switch (10/2/2012 17:33:03)

^
We already get a 15% bonus to sell back from enhancements and the current one is higher than what you recommended.
