This buff to intimidate is hereby put to Mercenaries only.

Intimidate BUFFED to Terrify. It may seem like a HUGE buff, but remember, I increased the cooldown, increased the EP cost, and put a large support requirement.

And hereby, here is Terrify:


Intimidate: Buff to Terrify


Terrify: Weaken the enemy through sheer use of power and constraint,
effectively terrorizing them into losing a portion of their damage and
strength.


Using this skill effectively decreases the targets damage output on gun
and primary attacks and diminshes ALL strength based skills by 5%.

INITIAL ATTACK::::IF ASSAULT BOT/RUSTED IS USED

Level 1: 10% ::::5%
Level 2: 15% ::::9%
Level 3: 20% ::::14%
Level 4: 25% ::::18%
Level 5: 29% ::::22%
Level 6: 33% ::::26%
Level 7: 37% ::::29%
Level 8: 40% ::::32%
Level 9: 43% ::::34%
Level 10: 45% ::::35%

Level Required: 5
Stat Required: 23 support, step 2 (41 support MAX)

Energy Required: 13, step 2 (31 EP MAX)

Can be debuffed by Assault bot? YES

EXAMPLE:

Strength BM has damage at 24-29+35 and gun damage of 24-29+35+10

A merc uses level 7 Terrify, effectively reducing the amount of damage output by 37%.

It would be calculated thus...


PRIMARY:
24-29+35

37%(24)=9
37%(29)=10.44=11

24-9=15
29-11=18

So, the primary becomes 15-18+35 while the gun becomes 15-18+35+10


Sounds a bit better.



For this being an extremely strong skill, I raised the cool down rate to

There is something I like about your idea: percent-based debuffs.

Other than that, the skill would surely require testing and adjustments, so I can't take your precise numbers as facts.

But again, it sounds good. Not necessarily as a Mercenary skill, but stat percentage penalty could be applicable for all debuffs - *deep breath* including Atom Smasher.

It's math mumbo jumbo Drianx.


EXAMPLE::::


A MAX Terrify would take away 45% of the damage output.

Say you are versing a smoke massacre BH. Their damage output is usually at 18-22+35 damage for a level 35.


45%(18)=8.1=9
45%(22)=9.9=10
18-9=9
22-10=12

So, with max terrify, the strength BH has a damage output of 9-12+35 now.
