Ok, basically everyone agrees that sacrificing Varium is a "no-no" and I fully understand, so we can take that off the table. Battle Records are also another thing that came into question. At first, I thought it was a good idea because it would give others who chose not to prestige a chance to advance the ranks of all-time leaderboards, but now I see the flaw in it. So we can scratch that off. Since wins and ranks are intertwined, keeping the battle record means keeping player ranks, so that would also be off the list. This leaves us with only Credits, Experience, and Tokens to sacrifice. Honestly, I don't think this is enough of a sacrifice because players can simply spend all their credits and tokens before they Prestige and only sacrifice Experience. quote:
When one resets with prestige, all of their possessions are freezed until maximum level is reobtained. So, basically, when you prestige, the game holds your credits, varium, items, etc until for example you get 35 again. I like the idea, but freezing credits, varium, and items would hinder a player's progress at all levels lower than 35. Top level players, like myself, only have weapons for the top 5 levels, so we wouldn't be able to use or buy lower level weapons. I neglected to mention in the OP, but I thought that all items would be usable once the required level is reached to equip them. This would be a fairer trade-off. Players will know that when they reach level 31, they can use their Infernal Interdictor again with it's original enhancments and be able to put up a good fight against the higher level players. quote:
i can also see problems when a new Event comes out... you may lose much from not being high level during that time. That's a great point. However, I thought that players can buy items that are out of their level range, but they just cannot equip them. It's been a while since I tried it, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps if credits and varium were frozen like Depressed Void suggested, then this might be a problem because player's couldn't purchase the new event items. quote:
The advantage to prestige weps is that they are bought for their usual price, but they comes with full enhancements And it goes in this order 0 presitge - nothing 1st - aux 4th- gun 6th - bot 8th - primary 10th - armor And a nice cheevo for each prestige I know theres a large gap, but it's because aux's are the least useful overall of all items I like the idea. I'm sure everyone would want to sacrifice something if they could unlock weapons that are already enhanced. Also, by unlocking only 1 item at a certain Prestige, it enables players the freedom to stop when they want, or continue to the very end. So, if someone only wants an aux, they can stop at the 1st Prestige and focus on other things. Thanks for all the feedback guys, it would be nice to see a well refined version of this implemented someday. Feel free to keep sharing your thoughts and suggestions.
