I thought changing the font color in the threads was reserved for the Forum's staff?

You mean changing the color of the text in your post? EVERYBODY can do that actually. The staff usually pick a color and bold it so people know who it was that editted their posts though for whatever reason.

Like Eukara Vox uses a bright green.

But no. It's not a privelage limited to forum staff only. For example... I TYPE IN BLUE ALL THE TIME!!

However there IS a rule about the choice of colors. It's looked down upon if the person uses a color that's really bright or makes their text elligible. Like most yellows or the

color code (makes text invisible).

Niki -> RE: Font Color Rules (10/23/2012 2:01:30)

It depends on the given board rules. General Discussion boards usually allow you to use any readable color, while Pedia, Bugs, etc. can restrict the use of color texts as it distracts the content.

Seahawk -> RE: Font Color Rules (10/23/2012 10:29:40)

We don't like the use of color when it becomes a way to spam. For example, if you write a long post and make every word a different color because you're going for that rainbow effect... yeah, not a good idea. Or, like Niki said, in a board like a 'Pedia or Bug forum where use of color pretty much detracts from the more serious purpose of the board.

Likewise, using the color codes to try to hide text is frowned upon. That's what the spoiler tags are for. Changing your text color to the forum's background color so we can't see what you're writing is usually a bad thing, especially if you're trying to hide text you know you shouldn't be typing (flaming, language, etc...)

Alright cool. Seahawk, nice picture. :P

Thanks,
