Mother1 -> RE: Favourite skills (11/1/2012 17:01:20)

Ok here are mine

1 Surgical strike- Reason being because it is so cool to see your opponent get zapped from a laser in space
2 Supercharge- I like the ability of flying for a bit and when the character is holding the energy it looks so cool
3 Bloodlust- it sounds so savage
4 Adrenaline- it makes you be able to rage at turn 3 with the right merc build

1. Shadow's arts
2. Reflex Boost
3. Field Medic

7. Stuns Skills.

3. massacre
4.smoke screen
5. old static charge
6.old field medic that improved with support
7.blood lust

Stabilis -> RE: Favourite skills (11/1/2012 20:41:57)

In no order: Energy Shield (since reducing an opponent's array of energy attacks to nil is very helpful), Defense Matrix (like Energy Shield, reducing an opponent's array of physical attacks to nil is helpful... also since they improve by Support, will not be reduced in battles), Blood Commander (a giga powerful boost for partners especially of that in 2V2 when the partner is already a user of Strength... how to take away the harmless title), Surgical Strike (understandably frustrating, but removing rage can possibly freeze an opponent in place allowing the user to coupe le grace), Static Charge [general concept] (repeating certain skills at whim is tactful as long as overly powerful attacks are not being recycled).

Changed post because of ↓.

Lectrix -> RE: Favourite skills (11/1/2012 21:14:42)

Remember to tell us why you like a Skill, as it wouldn't be a discussion otherwise.

As for me, I'd have to go with Blood Lust. After getting used to regaining HP just by attacking, I actually find it more difficult to play my Tech Mage character. That little bit of healing every round makes a big difference.

Some of my other favorites include Smoke Screen and Malfunction (nerfed defenses = more damage), and Deadly Aim (very useful, even with low Strength). Oh, and Plasma Cannon of course. Because who doesn't like a giant explosion? [;)]

GearDuck -> RE: Favourite skills (11/2/2012 0:47:36)

Massacre (It can do over double damage) Impossible to survive for me, I keep dying [:(]
Berzerker (Almost as strong as massacre)
Bludgeon (Almost as strong as berzerker)
Blood Lust (LifeSteal)
Reroute (Regain Energy)
Bunker Buster (Powerful as 2 of 3 "legend moves")
Plasma Bolt (High Damage)

ReinXI -> RE: Favourite skills (11/2/2012 1:37:08)

Malf ( love hate relationship but low tech = malfed smokescreen damage output on bots and higher chance to deflect opp )
plasma cannon ( its a cannon.. that fires plasma )
deadly aim ( I like guns )
Hybrid armor ( I like passive armor )

there you go

Mdmarvel -> RE: Favourite skills (11/2/2012 4:01:10)

1. Bloodlust -> I love passive life steals in any games
2. Massacre -> Gives a guaranteed win if you have enough EP and you and your enemy are at low-mid HP (provided the enemy is not a var with heaps of dex) Also, has a cool animation and I rely on it to beat Snork
3. Bunker Buster -> The terror of my past. Packs quite a punch and looks cool. Excellent at low levels and very fun to 1 shot people with it [:D]
4. Shadow Arts -> I like passive skills much and this one gives some percent of blocking. I think it's the main reason why I block NPCs most of the time
5. Hybrid Armor -> Excellent passive armor in the low levels especially when you don't have any armor yet and... I like passives xD

legion of souls -> RE: Favourite skills (11/2/2012 14:10:10)

Deadly aim. Why? well i can keep 16-20 strength and still do 30 to 40 damge

Eventus -> RE: Favourite skills (11/2/2012 16:01:53)

Blood Lust is easily my favorite skill as well. Until I switched over to Bounty Hunter, I never quite understood why it used to be the craze! But as Lectrix mentioned, it certainly makes a big difference with its ability to return health, because that essentially means that with Blood Lust, you have more HP than the cap you set it at. 95 health no longer means it's really 95 health - it's 95+# of HP you get back just by doing your job as a duelist: fighting!

Surgical Strike is also a great skill, since it's the only ultimate attack that actually does something apart from inflicting damage: it also reduces your enemy's Rage by 50%. Something to always remember to bring when breaking up fights!

I'm also quite fond of Hybrid Armor because it pairs up quite nicely with split-def/res armors for a tanking build. The same applies to Plasma and Mineral Armor if I wanted to focus more on either dexterity or technology respectively to compensate for the missing def or res value from the passive.
