rayniedays56 -> AIM (new stat/special stat) (11/4/2012 2:01:57)

As long as I have been actively posting here in the Balance threads (yes, even before the merge xD) I have noticed a displacement that many people have been wondering. Why is Strength so darned powerful? Well, my answer to this is that it can power two of our weapons. My suggestion is to implement AIM, a new special stat, like focus and agility, that can become the sidearm's damage scale, as a way to nerf strength to be on par with the other stats while actively boosting support. AIM relys on the stats of support and strength together to increase the damage of the sidearm. For each increment, we boost the sidearms base damage (7-9). 20 strength and 20 support: BASE damage 23 strength and 22 support: +1 26 strength and 24 support: +2 29 strength and 26 support: +3 32 strength and 28 support: +4 35 strength and 31 support: +5 38 strength and 34 support: +6 41 strength and 37 support: +7 44 strength and 40 support: +8 47 strength and 43 support: +9 50 strength and 46 support: +10 53 strength and 49 support: +11 56 strength and 52 support: +12 59 strength and 55 support: +13 62 strength and 58 support: +14 66 strength and 62 support: +15 70 strength and 66 support: +16 74 strength and 70 support: +17 Calculations are thus: (7-9)+(AIM Bonus)+(GUNS damage) Example: 7-9+10+35 17-19+35 This means that DA would ALSO be changed. My version of Deadly Aim? Deadly Aim: Passively decrease the amount of stat points needed to increase the Side Arms base damage. Level 1: 5% Level 2: 7% Level 3: 9% Level 4: 11% Level 5: 13% Level 6: 15% Level 7: 17% Level 8: 18% Level 9: 19% Level 10: 20% Example: A mage with maxed Deadly Aim will be able to successfully lower the amount of stats needed by 20%. Lets say you want +12 AIM. That costs 56 strength and 52 support. With Deadly Aim, it does down to 44 strength and 41 support.
