As a non var player 1vs1 and 2vs2 is VERY hard! So I was thinking... Why don't we have two separate 1vs1 and 2vs2 modes!
Here's what it is: If you join a 1vs1 you will ONLY get a non var opponent. (Same for 2vs2 all the people will be non vars)
If you DO have varium, then you get a varium user opponent. This would help other non vars, A LOT.
With records, getting faster credits and experience! Although, if you want to, there could be an option to vs varium users, for a little challenge!

Bunshichi -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 2:48:00)

Firstly with that option very few non varium players would even attempt to play against a varium player. Also the amount of non varium users out number varium users doing this half of us woud repeatedly face each other over and over.

Ranloth -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 2:50:59)

What is a Varium player? If I get Ebil Hazard Armor which has Varium bonus, does that make me Varium player? It sells for Credits though, so I'm non-Varium? Does 1 item make me Varium player or is it the enhancements? There's no way to distinguish that.. Overall idea is a no. Very hard you say? People can get Varium-bonus items with Credits and it takes some strategy to beat a Varium players. It's doable and there has to be some initiative to buy Varium at some point..

Mother1 -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 2:51:22)

@ Mr. Clean

I like the idea, however this would only serve to make 2 vs 2 longer since you are tacking on an extra condition to it. As we both know 2 vs 2 is dominated by the lower levels since they can get and win battles faster, and sometimes it takes a long time for a high level player to get a 2 on 2 weather they are varium or not.

Let's not forget that not everyone there would be battling since the following slows down battles

1 people chatting it up with friends instead of dueling
2 players doing jug mod
3 players not doing the same battle mode as you.

If you can find a way to make it work without slowing down getting the fights I can support it. Otherwise I can't for the fact that it will slow down the speed of getting duels. No one likes to wait a long time for duels and this will only make some people's waits longer in 2 vs 2.

Crimson Eagle -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 3:09:07)

@trans This wouldn't count just for a person who has, lets say a ebil corp armor with some enhancements. I mean for this to be in place for full vairum players.
Varium Primary, sidearm or/and aux and armor with lots of enhancements

Ranloth -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 3:12:57)

What is "lots" of enhancements? Players can also have enough Credits to enhance items with Varium bonus and pass your line of "lots" then what, does that make me a Varium player despite using Credits? It has flaws, pretty big ones. And not needed if they are already improving gameplay for F2P. What's the point of buying Varium if you can fight players with same power as you? Varium is supposed to give that slight advantage.

Crimson Eagle -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 3:18:11)

I know that it is meant to give you an "advantage" But what about a good challenge? Most of the best battles I've seen are against 2 level 35's with varium battling it out for ages.
And by enhancements, I mean fully enhanced. It would take a hell load of credits to fully enhance a weapon.

rayniedays56 -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 3:24:47)

@ above.

Rabblefroth is already reworking the enhancement system so it is MUCH less cheaper on the credit side so that it is not a MUST have situation to enhance with varium.

Varium costs 1700 varium to full enhance 10 slots with JUST varium.
Credits cost 170,000 to fully enhance 10 slots with JUST credits.

A more reasonable approach is being modified. I understand your frustration, trust me. Whenever I buy varium, I usually buy in the 10k bundle. Buying 2 new weapons cost 15,000 credits each and 995-1000 varium each. By the time I am done enhancing (a must have in today's ED) I am left with 3000-4000 varium, and not to also mention that I change class a LOT to have fun.

So, in all, just wait for Rabble :)

HuggieBear -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 11:41:05)

The best things in life aren't always free. Get some varium if it's too hard. my2

Renzan -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 19:08:20)

Absolutely not, Varium players pay money to have an advantage over non-variums. Why would they keep paying real money if then they'll no longer have an advantage?

OmilliYo -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 19:15:17)

Not Supported

as a non-varium player i don't think the gap is that big. Sure there are lots of powerful variums players but there are also power non-variums out there to. Once you find the right build you will start winning lots of more.

Blaze The Aion Ender -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/8/2012 19:22:27)

I would buy a bunch of non var gear close to being as strong as varium gear
Enhance it up
Have a better win rate, while using new gear
As a var player, it's a win-win

Metallico -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/10/2012 19:35:59)

well i am non varium player too, and i know is too hard for us to get similar stats as a varium player but you can with the right build, the fought in the life things give you more satisfaction...

Midnightsoul -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/10/2012 19:40:15)

well, if this happened, what is the freakin point of varium...

KEzAx -> RE: Improving battle fairness (11/11/2012 0:52:05)

@kingofn00bs says it all
